Press COMMAND - R to refresh. I ran into that message when installing RC2 the other day.I'm getting the same. Will try my other Mac.
Great, with this I get a constant 25 MB/s. Finished in 8 minutes 😊Install the pkg by double clicking. It will then install the regular "Install macOS Big Sur.app" into your application directory. Then proceed as usual.
Bash:wget --continue http://swcdn.apple.com/content/downloads/50/49/001-79699-A_93OMDU5KFG/dkjnjkq9eax1n2wpf8rik5agns2z43ikqu/InstallAssistant.pkg
This is the raw file of the update installer. with the --continue flag, wget will continue the download if it fails and you have to run it again.
you might have to install wget through homebrew or macports.

I'm also going to wait a few days. Not to be prudent, but because that's how long it's taking to download. All the best for the early adopters... I will wait a few days, just to be prudent.
The command downloads the regular full installer. You can upgrade from every previous version and also create a bootable USB (for upgrading or clean install). Can I use this to upgrade from 11.0.1. RC2 build?
This is funny; I posted a comment when I had 2 days remaining, then immediately saw your post and was jealous. Then, I checked my progress and I had almost exactly that same amount downloaded as you (2.58 GB vs 2.59 GB). Looks like it sped up significantly, and I've also got 3 hours remaining.I’m down to 3hrs remaining.
You posted your serial number :/I’m down to 3hrs remaining.
