My advice would be to keep trying the command. If you are still on Catalina, it should work. If you are on the Big Sur betas, it won't work.

At around 500 Mb it stated 3 days remaining. It skipped to 1.67Gb and suddenly the remaining time dropped to 11 hours..
So there is hope....

Maybe it was bit too early to be happy, already died twice on me.
Forget it, this is useless... will download tomorrow, probably goes a lot faster...

Thanks! I'm trying it now and getting ~9MB/s on a 100Mb/s ISP link. Running smoothly, too - no stutter about it.
Edit: Damn, got to ~2GB and it's intermittent now, but still going.

This wouldn't need sudo unless of course you can't normally write to the directory you're trying to write it to.

I was on RC2 Build 20b28 downloaded the new installer (2b29) installed it in system software overview it states Build is still 20b28. so if you are on rc2 you might not see update
