Was showing and downloading now howing as not available in the UK - was downloading then failed.

Looks like they may have pulled it temporarily.

OK, I officialy give up for today. It's beyond my imagination why there are no problems with for example iOS updates but there are with macOS updates.
Apple is only one company I know that completely fails in terms of download speeds. This is ridiculous.

If anyone has managed to get it installed, speak up please! Mine failed twice after reaching 12.18 GB and trying one last time before giving up.

keeps getting a small amount and then failing. when I restart the process it seems to still use that already downloaded data as the progress bar jumps to where it was last. currently at 2.46 GB's, and it estimates 3 hours remaining for some reason, despite a speedy connection on my end.

Your connection may be speedy in general just not speedy to Apple right now due to bottlenecks on the networks between you and Apple or just their general failure to serve up a blob of data to tons of people requesting it at the same time. I'm seeing the same sort of symptoms and will just give up until the next few days when its simmers down.

Does anyone know to where software update from Preferences is downloading the file?
I'd like to get rid of any previous bits it has downloaded before starting again.

I downloaded it earlier, and the installer launched. I quit the installer and copied it elsewhere for use tonight.

I'm currently on RC2, and I'm not seeing it in Software Update, but I was able to download it through the App Store link.
