Anyone else's computer acting buggy after failing to install and then restarting?

You too? My machine refuses to run any 3rd party programs. Running RC2 here on a 2018 MB Pro

Does anyone know where it stores the temp file during download? I'd like to remove it via the terminal to get my 12GB back before trying again.

Would restarting the Mac clear it?

Yes, My 16" MacBook was crawling until I shutdown the wifi....

Yes mine is badly. serious video problems, even typing this post it's not keeping up. problems remain after rebooting too. this is highly disturbing actually.

Yup me, could be their servers were hacked and we installed ransomware instead

YES! Very slow and unresponsive! Even more reason to do a clean install (once we finally can download...)

Same here. It is like all my other programs became locked out when I started the upgrade to Big Sur. Not good.

YES! Very slow and unresponsive! Even more reason to do a clean install (once we finally can download...)

Took a few minutes...somehow, it's acting normally again.

I meant restarting the Mac, not just restarting the download...

I got to 10GB after a couple of failed attempts and it stopped for a long time so I tried a restart of the Mac. I wish I hadn't, as my computer is now super slow/buggy and get install fail even before any attempt at downloading when I select upgrade now

Console shows socket errors. Now, when I restart the update, it errors out immediately (and I see a slightly different socket error). So, a network problem that they're working on?

After the download i get "Installed failed", rebooted my macbook but now everything is slow, beachballs, no responding apps... Catalina is not working normal anymore WTF!

FWIW, I experienced weirdness on my *un*-updated Mac about thirty minutes ago. Wondered if it was related to iCloud issues. Perhaps this just sent a big “pulse” out to all iCloud-using Macs, hampering performance.
