MAIL notifications still come many minutes after I've already read and deleted the email. This is ridiculous. What is the point of Notifications if you realize you have the email and have long since read it before NOTIFICATIONS tells you?

Epic fail again Timmy. :(
I would have to suggest that it is something with your install. My notifications follow arrivals by a few seconds at most.

No, I sometimes have this as well as many others do.

Thank you for the heads up on problems you had updating to 10.13.2 on unsupported hardware with patched OS.

In my case, the security patch 2017-001 https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208331 released for 10.13.1 on my mid 2009 MacBook Pro applied OK until a reboot... Scanning HT208331 - it appears that all of the 10.13.2 security patches are "available" in this 10.13.1 security patch.

Huh? Almost none of them are. The page you're linking isn't 2017-001; it's 10.13.2. The only patch from 10.13.2 that's also available for 10.13.0 and 10.13.1 is the root login bug, which is mentioned in both the page you link and the actual 2017-001 article: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208315

After I rebooted my unsupported MacBookPro5,5 High Sierra 10.13.1 with security patch 2017-001, I had to re-install the High Sierra Patcher post installation patches and then reboot with a cache rebuild. The security patch now seems to be installed and OK.

Maybe so, but you aren't fully patched.

Hopefully it fixes:
[..]
System processes that eat up 30GB in ram

My guess is this refers to WindowServer — I saw that bug (once) in 10.13.0; it was apparently fixed in an early 10.13.1 beta. Haven't seen it since.

Gestures crashing every once a while

I continue to see trackpad issues. Might be fixed as of 10.13.2 final, but was definitely still there in early 10.13.2 betas.

It is part of the OS and has nothing to do with Trusteer.

Are you sure about that?

It looks like has something to do with cache management.

I think that's a red herring. Virtually anything links against the dyld cache.

Apple today released macOS High Sierra 10.13.2, the second update for the macOS High Sierra operating system available for Apple's Macs. macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 comes a little over a month after the release of macOS High Sierra 10.13.1, the first update to High Sierra.

macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 can be downloaded directly from the Mac App Store or through the Software Update function in the Mac App Store on all compatible Macs that are already running macOS High Sierra.

No major outward-facing changes were found in macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 during the beta testing period, but according to Apple's release notes, it offers security and feature improvements. The update improves compatibility with third-party USB audio devices, it introduces better VoiceOver navigation when viewing PDF documents in Preview, and it improves the compatibility of Braille displays with Mail. For more information on the macOS High Sierra operating system, make sure to check out our dedicated macOS High Sierra roundup.

... and the HOMEKIT Apple or is it still Bug feast and not Feature fest yet???

Delayed release suggests the final build of macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 was subjected to additional last minute security testing.

I am hoping infamous December 2, 2017 bug is fixed, which on macOS High Sierra triggers less severe "Month 13 is out of bounds" error every dozen milliseconds or so.

Unfortunately 10.13.2 does NOT fixes the "month 13 is out of bounds". Shame on you Apple.

Anyone else have issues with installing this update?

Installed overnight and woke up to a "update required" where the user name normally appears for logon. Having logged on, very odd behaviour - couldn't switch apps, app focus all over the place, even struggled to shutdown by using the touchpad.

I think I rebooted 3 times until things have (hopefully) now returned to normal.

Thanks! :D

Tried the el capitan one from the dmg and ended up in a boot loop.

Had to downgrade to build 15G31 via a bootable usb and update it again via mac app store instead.

So something is wrong with the dmg from the apple support website. Much better to go with the mac app store instead this time for el capitan.

Can some else please confirm if the installer has something wrong from the apple support website???? :(:(

Post Date: Jul 19, 2017???? Why???????????????????????????????????????????:eek::eek::eek:

Thanks

Did a clean install with the "13.2.07" Installer and they have kept the older iTunes 12.6.2.20, so they are not forcing anyone to 12.7.x yet.
App Store only shows iTunes 12.7.2 update, no other security updates available, so it's current with latest patches.
What is weird is when I try to do the "root" test, the OS opens a second username and password window so their is two visible. Sounds like it was a quick fix and not a final solution.

I was looking for USB devices and got excited for a second then saw the audio. I guess Apple has no time fixing external hdd ejecting when my iMac goes to sleep. When I wake-up my Mac there were like over 10 warnings saying I didn’t eject my hard drive properly. SMH!

At least your mac wakes up. Mine had a major Problem with waking up from sleep while having a USB device plugged in. It would just stay on a blank, black screen. The Problem was fixed, but started rearing it's head again with this update. Apple needs to fix their USB protocolls.

Fixed some bugs I was experiencing with Mail app.

Command-B works here for BOLD, but it still doesn't in the MAIL program. Go figure.

There's also still a bug where you click on an email and the email list goes awry and reshuffles all the emails and you lose your place. Then you have to scroll to find that email all over again, and maybe the 2nd time is the charm.

Hi,

I have installed the updates today and after restarting the Mac, I am getting a white screen with a stop/block sign and it was there from past 3 hours. I am not sure what to do now, is it's not going to sleep or restarting.

Please help

I am in no rush to upgrade to High Sierra. Will consider upgrading maybe when they preview 10.14 at WWDC 2017. In the mean time, Sierra is working just fine and does all I need - and I need my Adobe CS6.

What Mac model? Normally that's the sign for a Mac that is too old for a particular Mac OS version.
There are some other possibilities too, but without knowing which Mac, it's difficult to recommend something.
