Those having issues with this, try deleting the installer from your Applications folder, then follow the link on the above article to redownload from the Mac App Store. This worked for me.

I could not find it in the store, but used the link in the article. Odd thing is that it is still not listed under my purchases, just as other downloads. Hopefully I will be able to go in at some point and “purchase” the installer to get it linked to my Apple ID.

Hard to believe my iMac 21.5" 2009 will get this update. 8 years on and that thing is still chugging (minus the screen...that intermittently flickers, so I hooked up an external monitor).
