Did Apple update the AMD eGPU divers as well? There is no mentioning about GPU drivers!

I totally hate to see my MacBook Pro crashing and freezing every time I try to watch some iTunes movie via my eGPU (RX580).

Still no sound. Books will crash a few seconds after opening as well. Really odd..

I'm assuming this is 10.14.0 and I've been missing 10.14.1, 10.14.2, 10.14.3, and 10.14.4 -- wtf

Edit: 18A391 is 10.14.0 -- My computer keeps saying there is no update. Ugh.
download the combo update

Combo: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1996?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Delta: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1994?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

I actually think there is a mistake on the Delta page.

It says:

Actually that should be

System Requirements
macOS Mojave 10.14.3
I noticed that too, right away, it has to be a mistake

I wonder if we'll ever see Photos.app updated to do sharing of albums with icloud.com links.

Being able to share a crapload of photos in a web link is one of my favorite new features in iOS 12 and it's missing from MacOS.

I may have some Apple II questions. For one I sure miss all my old games not only from the II but from mac OS 7.x as well. Too bad I can't play all of them. I have a II emulator which I can play some games, but games like Prince of Persia, Oregon Trail, and many others from the Mac OS 7.x days are gone.

I have macos on external usb3 ssd but not APFS coz it wasn't working properly, going back to Extended (Journaled) fixed all issues, but now I find out I won't be ever able to update? Or I'm forced to APFS which doesn't work properly with external USB3 enclosures. Why?

APFS works fine on external drives. You cannot install Mojave onto an HFS+ disk whatsoever. Some people have cloned an APFS installation onto an HFS+ disk, but it's not supported by Apple and you won't be able to install updates onto that HFS+ environment.

Prince of Persia was actually imaged into WOZ files recently. WOZ files preserve the physical format of the original floppy disks, including the copy protection. You can find it here:

The best emulator I've found for MacOS is Virtual][. http://virtualii.com -- It's not free but if you love the Apple ][ it's the way to go for an emulator on the Mac.

You might not think so, but the Apple ][ community is actually extremely active these days and a lot of development is going on. A lot of people my age who grew up with the machines are on a serious nostalgia buzz right now.

Apologies for this being off-topic for this thread. Further discussion to DM please. :)

well there is one way around but it won't be pretty
you need to create a APFS drive using one of those external backup drives you have

clone your main HFS+ to the new APFS that just created using carbon copy cloner or any similar app that you might prefer

when it finishes the clone process

boot your Mac and select the new APFS drive
important you might need to hold the ALT key at startup to see the list of drives

select the APFS drive

now simply update your system to 10.14.4 after you finished doing that and you return back to your desktop
make sure you are in the APFS drive

now go to CCC and clone your APFS drive back to your HFS+ drive and you are done

you can use that external drive as a emergency bootable backup or you can erase that drive and use it for storage

whatever you decide, it sounds bit complicated but is really a pice of cake

sorry I couldn't explain better, my English is not perfect and I have to go out now

my will will kill me if I don't show up on time

lol

Nothing showing here.

It would be awesome if MacRumors supported Safari's automatic Dark Mode. Is there a Xenforo Add-on of some sorts that makes use of feature yet?

If there's automatic dark mode in Safari, then I'm not seeing it on any sites I open

Honestly, the News app works well on an iPad 10 inches. But on a mba 13 inches or a smaller iPad, most articles are not easy to read, prints being much too small. Great for big screens though.

Mac, as usually, taking the back seat. Getting released last.

It's okay, we got used to it already.

Released the same day as IOS 12.2. Even if it were released a day later, why would that matter? Would you like the update to come with a "you are special, Mac users" message across the screen so you don't feel left out when they do an event that doesn't focus primarily on you?
