Updated without a problem, but... for the first time ever, I had a problem with content caching. After updating the iMac, I wanted to do the MacBook Pro, knowing that the cached content should be on the iMac, for use with the three other MacBook Pro units. Nada. Will update them at the office.

Just upgraded. iMac won’t make a sound now. Something is wrong.

Hope your speakers didn't get blown. The right speaker on my MBP got trashed after I installed Mojave. I assumed there was some kind of odd thing happening in the OS. Eventually it was obvious the actual speaker was damaged. Had to have it replaced. I think I'm going to plug in headphones when I do updates from now on so the speakers are protected.

I used the delta to update to 10.14.4.

But the delta does not update gatekeeper.

The new gatekeeper (also released today) is version 164.

To tell if you need it or not you can use this command in Terminal to find your gatekeeper version:

/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Print CFBundleShortVersionString" /private/var/db/gkopaque.bundle/Contents/Info.plist

If it is lower than 164 you can get the new one here:

http://swcdn.apple.com/content/down...s2svedajwd6fey3c3y35/GatekeeperConfigData.pkg

to update to 164.

It is supposed to update automatically but quite often doesn't - so it is useful to know how to do it manually.

I noticed that .4 didn't keep my dock transparency setting. Had to go into Preferences/Accessibility/select display and re-enable the setting. I just like a more transparent dock.

ok I figured out
go to safari / preferences
go to advance tab and click on show develop menu in menu bar
close that

now go to safari develop tab, between bookmarks and window and go to experimental features
make sure Dark Mode CCS Support is selected
if not then select it

if all options are grey out, that you can't select them
simply quit safari and open it up again
and go to experimental features again
now you should be able to enable that option but I think is already selected by default

to test that the safari dark mode is active and working , go here

https://kevinchen.co/blog/support-macos-mojave-dark-mode-on-websites/

it looks super cool, but we need support from more web sites
I guess it will take some time until they update their page source code

Mac rumors should have support for this feature

edit
weird , I think it might still be on beta because is under experimental features
and for some reason it doesn't work on apple web site
they should be the first to support this

nice cool feature but unfortunately useless without any support or use for it

Did Apple update the AMD eGPU divers as well? There is no mentioning about GPU drivers!

I totally hate to see my MacBook Pro crashing and freezing every time I try to watch some iTunes movie via my eGPU (RX580).

View attachment 828372

Hi - who is the manufacturer/what brand is the card - ditto on the eGPU case?
I have a Sonnet eGPU case and 550W PSU with an RX580 card 8Gb DDR5 from ASUS or Saphire - can't remember now.
I also have a GigaByte RX580 8Gb gaming box too.

Both run fine on my MacBook Pro 15 inch 2017 machine and a Lenovo laptop workstation on Win 10 64bit Pro - both machines are used for editing with Davinci Resolve Studio editor.

I have a Razer Core X eGPU enclosure with a Vega 56 card in it from XFX - that's problematic with my Mac - seems to be OK on the Lenovo.

No support at all for videocards from Nvidia? Solving the driver-trauma? I soon get crazy about this. Have hardware that can’t be used in my Mac Pro 5.1.

Apple today released macOS Mojave 10.14.4, the fourth update to the macOS Mojave operating system that first launched in September. macOS 10.14.4 comes more than two months after the release of macOS Mojave 10.14.3, a minor bug fix update.

macOS Mojave 10.14.4 can be downloaded by going to the "Software Update" section of System Preferences. The update is free for all Mac users who have a machine that supports it.

macOS Mojave 10.14.4 introduces support for the new Apple News+ subscription service that is designed to allow Apple News users to sign up for unlimited access to news and magazines for a monthly fee. The update also brings Apple News to Canada, allowing Canadian Mac users to access news stories in French, English, or both.

macOS Mojave 10.14.4 includes support for Safari AutoFill using Touch ID and it offers automatic dark mode themes in Safari. If you have Dark Mode enabled in Mojave, when you visit a website that has an option for a dark theme after installing the update, it will be activated automatically. Full release notes for the update are below:For additional details on macOS Mojave, make sure to check out our macOS Mojave roundup.

How about a light mode for the Dashboard? Also, the temperature widget is not longer working for me on the Dashboard. Hello, Apple? Regressions?!?
the temperature widget did not work for a while 2-3 weeks ago..... never happened before

That useless crap is still there?!?!?! LOL!!!!!!!
yeh.... a very ancient APP, BUT some tiny widgets are quite useful for me :)

Does it include support for AMD Radeon VII via eGPU though? :)

Afraid not. Either apple or AMD are slacking here big time.

Holding out hope for Radeon VII eGPU support.

You will have to wait for either a fix, or hope it will be included in 10.14.5.

No, no support as of yet. Apple have yet to validate nvidia drivers. It doesn't have to wait for 10.14.4, just for apple to validate drivers.

Most likely we will not see support for Nvidia in the near future:( I believe that Apple will soon announce the 2013 Late iMac officially an antiquary and stop its support. This is the latest generation of iMacs with Nvidia graphics, and the history of their cooperation will end there, if something unexpected happens.

However, guys, what is heard about the support Radeon VII?

So did they do whatever needs to be done to let Nvidia update their drivers yet? Because honestly, that's about the only thing I care about at this point…

I know a lot of people don't see the point of Dashboard, but I still find it very useful and use it very frequently!
With every major MacOS release I fear it will disappear, and am glad it hasn't so far...
Unfortunately my weather widgets stopped working as well after this update.
