[doublepost=1537841891][/doublepost]I have 128GB of OWC RAM in my MacPro, and I didn't get any errors. The installation simply took over 90 minutes, which I've read is more than double the time. Probably the RAM, as I've seen memory cleaners take a lot more time after the upgrade.

Thanks. I guess it may be one of my sticks. All seems well now.

Installation took roughly 30 minutes on my 2017 TB 13" MBP.

I did a Fresh install from a fast USB-C bootable media. It is kind of slow compared to High Sierra in very few areas like... viewing 'about this mac' or opening 'screen saver' in system preferences. But those are the things that people don't care about anyways, for the most parts. Used this for about 3 hours last night. Seems like it's better than last Public Beta I used (PB5) in few areas like... Safari seemed to open faster, few system preferences app opens faster etc.

Installation was clean, simple. iStat Menus, Hyperdock & Adblock Plus works like charm, right out the box. Recommended. :apple:

I am having the same issue on my late 2013 iMac. Now having to restore from time machine. Only 15 hours to wait....

Download of Mohave was a complete disaster on my 2017 iMac - downloaded twice and both times lost all connectivity, bluetooth, internet, My Passport, keyboard/wireless mouse completely buggy, keystrokes incredibly slow, random message pop-ups, etc. etc. Finally after working through two Apple techs and a senior advisor, used Command R/Disk Utility - erased my HD and reinstalled High Sierra from Time Machine. SHAME on Apple for releasing this mess. MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP IF YOU’RE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO TRY THE DOWNLOAD LIKE I DID.

I'm very pleased to report that the following issues in Safari which still existed in the GM, as well as the Safari Tech Preview, have been fixed:

1. Audio in BBC iPlayer and TuneIn now play although there's a weird "playing" icon in TuneIn's main window (as opposed to the separate player and controls in the lower portion) which behaves as if it isn't connecting even though it has.

2. Linked content on certain FB groups which would show a blank window unless you reloaded the page without an Ad Blocker now shows the linked content's photo or video.

3. With the latest release of Dark Mode for Safari, FB "like" icons now show the proper "positive" colors. YOUR own like icon, however, still shows as a negative color image.

think I might have to sell my 2 motu Ultralite MK3 hybrids and finally get the thunderbolt units. there seems to be issues with mojave. hopefully MOTU will release drivers soon.

I agree & let's see.

I do think that the Marzipan apps should've been optional downloads to the OS from the Mac App Store for all of the reasons that you state.

I'll be happy if by this March, we see versions that feel closer to the Mac App Store.

On the other hand, you can just put them in a folder in Launchpad and forget about them as none are really essential!

In another post, I said that this release feels very much like Snow Leopard and I definitely stand by that. Of course Snow Leopard didn't launch with the Mac App Store, but ended up with it near the end of its active development.

I'm wondering if we'll see similar changes to Mojave as we get ready for what will be quite a significant change in 2019 to macOS.

They didn’t make them optional because they wanted Siri to not have to act differently depending on whether you installed stocks, etc. Makes their life simpler if they can know for sure the apps are there.

That article is out of date - it's based on an old beta and not the final GM released yesterday.

I've literally got it working on Mojave right in front of me. I have screenshots to prove subpixel anti-aliasing.

Why don't you install Mojave on your own hardware and test it out yourself?
Mojave on my MacBook Air has no sublimely rendering.

Thanks for this! Do you know where to even get the encryption PW? What would i search for on my mac to see if i have that anywhere?

Sorry but no. I had to get Apple Support to walk me through the process of replacing the Encryption PW with a new one. Hopefully you won't even be asked for it. I'm not sure why I was asked for it, neither was the support tech. But that was the upgrade to High Sierra. I had no issues with Mojave, everything went okay.

Given the hype during beta testing, I'm currently a bit disappointed with Mojave. After testing for a couple of days I'm seeing some UI glitches and performance issues that weren't present on High Sierra. Hopefully these will get ironed out in the coming updates.

Dark Mode is still too contrasted for my liking. In System Preferences / Accessibility / Display, the setting for "Normal" for "Display contrast" should be the middle of the slider, with the ability to tone down the contrast even further.

Totally agree. Dark Mode causes my eyes to have the "mini blinds" effect. The contrast control is awful. If you move it even a fraction from the left side toward the right it immediately washes out the entire screen like an overexposed photo. WTH! And the thin system font on my MBP 15" Retina screen is a b..ch to read. I have to strain my eyes to see if text is bolded. I think the programmers at Apple are morons, including the top dog programmer. They proved that with High Sierra and they are still proving it...

Whilst Mojave has mostly been a painless transition, one thing that irks is the loss of the Grab app. The new screenshot app seems to have most of its functionality, but it is clearly meant to be a really transient tool (closer to an advanced apple-shift-3) that closes quickly after you take a screenshot. When I'm putting together a presentation with a lot of screengrabs (as I do often) I actually want the screenshot tool to persist until i tell it to close - kind of like Grab almost did. Happy to report that I was able to restore the Grab app from a time machine backup and it still works fine Mojave, so the underlying API doesn't seem to have changed.

Mojave seems to have improved performance

Geeckbench

2018 13 i7 16
5500/19000

Metal 39344
OpenCL 37900
(Both improved by about 2-3k)

Night shift doesn't appear to work, using the sunrise-sunset schedule, screen stays "cold". It does work if I select the manual option...
