Really slow update - even on 20MB internet it went from 3 hours to 5 hours after trying to pause / resume. I'm still not sure what are all the guys responsible for CDNs and servers doing all the updates. Through-out the years, they know the rough adoption rate over the first 24 hours hour by hour, plus they know how many devices are able to update to the newest OS. Combining that information with usual traffic on the given day plus leaving some for contingency should give you enough information to prepare the servers accordingly. First the iOS update and then this, what a joke. And no, unfortunately it's not my connection speed. :(

OK Nothing in my software Update... I currently running 10.12 Beta Build 16A321a.... how do I get the release version?????

Yes I have checked Software Updates about a dozen times and nothing comes up.

You have to download the full installer from the App Store :)

I'm going to sit this one out till traffic congestion subsides, but I'm looking forward to reading everyone's impressions.

Whatever they did with the regional / formats settings in Sierra and iOS10, they made it worse. A LOT worse.
Previously I could set region/country specific formats without affecting the language of applications. Now when I need to move the local language up the list to get date separators etc. correct, suddenly other apps start to work in my local language (if they have that available) instead of English. And when I put English on top, the formats are not correct.

Without an iPhone or Apple Watch, is it worthwhile to upgrade from El Capitan to macOS? That's an honest question.

What's the difference between the two, aside from continuity features that require other Apple devices? Is there any change to actual system performance? Improved security? Anything?

Trying to decide whether or not to upgrade the work machine...

If you read this thread you would have found out about a dozen times that you have to use the search option in the app store to find it and then download it from there.;)

Can't get Apple Watch to unlock Mac working -- keep getting an error "Your Mac was unable to communicate with your Apple Watch."

i dont lol i use the cloud for word documents and stream my music :) but its great to see the space back though

And most likely you will loose space again if you don't turn of local TimeMachine snapshots.
Right now I don't know the command, if I find I will update this post.

The next link explains it, seems to me your Time Machine was enabled somehow, it should not make local snapshots if it is disabled as you can read in this link.

Isn't a faster/more efficient Time Machine backup process supposed to be part of Sierra? A new file system or something?
