Installed about 45min ago, it's incredible up until that point.

The only issue I ran into was when I synced my Desktop / Documents folder, and then about 10min in I unchecked it and everything on my Desktop disappeared. I had to do this to move my Parallels folder (128gb by itself) and move it to another folder to avoid iCloud uploading it. Once I did that and checked the box for Desktop / Documents again all was restored.

I don't get it why people bother to do a clean install, I've been using OS X since 10.0 b and never reinstalled, always installed the new OS over the existing OS, had some bugs but they were always fixed, by myself or an update.

Point is, no need to do a clean install, it's not windows.

Sometimes I like starting from scratch, with a new account, no apps, and default settings. Throughout my use of a Mac, I forget what settings I have enabled or disabled, sometimes in the terminal. I forget where I put stuff temporarily or what I used as a sort of temp folder, or which small utility apps I have installed that I haven't used in over two years. It just feels nice to start fresh sometimes.

Expect issues using external high resolution monitors via the HDMI port. My Asus PB278 connected via HDMI to a late 2013 15-inch MacBook Pro comes up in 1080p with a maximum available resolution of 1600x1200 in the scaled displays (instead of the typical 2560x1440). There seems to be a lot of us with a variety of machines with different monitors experiencing this one. There are multiple threads about this in the developer forum related to the GM and it seems to still hold through in the build:

Another major release, another monitor related screwup. Don't know WTF is Apple internal testing is up to, but apparently it doesn't include external displays.

has anyone done a real benchmark comparison between El Capitan and Sierra? I don’t want to ‘upgrade’ if this is going to slow down my system, and I haven’t been able to find a real comparison online.

Anyone having any errors? I was one of the many to download and install iOS 10 on my old iPhone and iPad Pro within the first few minutes of release, so that's definitely fresh in my mind. I figured I'd wait at least a few hours to see if people were noticing anything.

Has anyone had difficulty streaming music to an Airport Express, latest version, in Sierra Beta?

Nope. In fact, the stability of my AirPlay streams seems to have greatly improved with Sierra and iOS 10. I haven't had it drop on me once since installing the betas of both, and I use AirPlay on a near daily basis.

OK Nothing in my software Update... I currently running 10.12 Beta Build 16A321a.... how do I get the release version?????

Yes I have checked Software Updates about a dozen times and nothing comes up.

When I downloaded the GM, I quickly found out that my apple watch does not unlock my late 2012 iMac. seems that you need a 2013 or later to do the unlock. I am not sure what is missing that prevents this, but I am disappointed.

Requires 802.11ac for time of flight.

This explains it, though instead of using laser light it can be done with wifi signals.

Stinks but I understand the reasoning. I have a late 2012 Mac mini that isn't compatible.

People don't generally benchmark OS against each other.

Expect most updates to do some slowing of the system as they add additional features that require more resources.

This time around Apple looked to add features where other OS releases have been a concentration on improving performance, slimming code, etc.

I am not in a rush to upgrade, still running Adobe CS6 which is all I need. Has anyone tested with Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6 and InDesign CS6?
