The joy of a fresh install each year.. Countless hours spent reinstalling all your old applications. My download just finished, going to create a bootable usb and complete the install tonight.

Just wish they auto unlock feature could be used with the iPhone. Guess they need another incentive to buy an Apple watch. I'm sure the next MacBooks will have the ability to auto unlock with an iPhone... which if that does end up being the case, will make a lot of people upset.
that was a cool feature on my samsung s6 you could choose all kinds of things like location other Bluetooth devices and such. but the problem was then the fingerprint/home button would not open up the phone os you had to swipe the screen so it was actually pretty much useless unless you did not use a fingerprint to unlock it.

Hey Apple, here's an idea: Instead of rolling out macOS overhauls every few months, why don't you just update the Mac line instead?! Seriously, I'd MUCH rather have a brand new Mac Pro tower with El Capitan than this new "Sierra" with my old Mac. Get your act together!

1 hour 5 mins in the UK via the app store.

Pause the download and resume... Mine was showing 1 hour 10 minutes, I did pause and resume and it went down to 20 minutes. Another member gave a tip to pause and download.. Hope it works for you...

Does anybody update a MacPro (late 2013), AMD FirePro D300 and could you tell me if it slows down the machine?

Last week I had to go back with my iPad mini 2 to iOS 9 after a rather painful slow interface and I would hate to do that on my Mac.

Thank you!

Say what you will - Siri in MacOS is a little bit tasty - My level of laziness has reached new heights.....

I don't get it why people bother to do a clean install, I've been using OS X since 10.0 b and never reinstalled, always installed the new OS over the existing OS, had some bugs but they were always fixed, by myself or an update.

Point is, no need to do a clean install, it's not windows.

It isn't necessary. I choose to do a fresh install for other reasons.. Clean up cached files, hidden files, old applications no longer being used, ect..

Alright folks, if you haven't learned from last week - you might want to wait a little before downloading. And definitely backup your system with Time Machine or a cloning solution.
(mocking critics) So, like, omg. Wut evar happen'd to "Macs just work!" like omg, the travesty of this all! It's inexcusable! I'm like, triggered or stuff. Steve Jobs would never!

I always wanted to do that. I just don't know how to uninstall VMWARE, Office 2016 and Adobe. Are there any websites that would highlight the "unregistering" process? Thanks for your help.

Want to clear out my MacBook's hard drive first. I want to get rid of the mysterious 'Other' that's taking up nearly half my disk space. Don't want that to get into iCloud.

Might wait for the series of deadlines at work to pass, too.

Interesting, it doesn't feel changed or upgraded at all :) Even the wallpaper stayed the same what I had before.
Haven't had that kind of a feeling after an OSX upgrade before. Need to decide still, whether it's good or bad :D

I am worry about performance after installing Sierra.
Anyone who has installed Sierra, how about compared to El capitan
I have a late 2009 iMac and Early 2011 MBP (i7)
