15.7.2 installed on my Mac mini. No problems here!
Brought up software update on my Mini - only available update was Command Line Tools 26.1 - figured "what the heck" and installed those. When that was done MacOS 26.1 and 15.7.2 were available - selected 15.7.2. Seems to be OK, still has the sign handling problem for Calculator in RPN mode.

Can't innovate anymore, my Liquid Glass!
Remember when another company sold an OS named after a piece of glass and called their systems 95, 98, 2000...etc?

Apple's main innovation right now seems to be stapling unpronounceable, Spanish-inspired US travel destinations to the release (rather than using them as internal codenames).

Bring back Aqua and pinstripes I say!!!

Against better judgment, I went ahead and installed the update.

Completely hosed my Photos library. Awesome.

It's as if they didn't fix anything, it still drags miserably on M4 Max. Constant lag, fan noise, spotlight re-indexing, CPU & GPU spikes all over the place.

Where's the Tint?

there is basically no difference between LG clean and LG tinted on macOS 26.1.

The Control Center isn't "true" Liquid Glass to begin with. They nerfed it after 26.0 beta 1 by adding a frosted effect. You need to check/compare it in other apps that have clear Liquid Glass controls, like Notification Center, Safari, Photos, Music, etc.

Read the rest of the sentence:
...new tinted look which increases opacity of the material in apps and notifications on the Lock Screen
(My emphasis.)

They unfortunately didn't add the tinted look everywhere. I'm currently not at my Mac but from my understanding you should see the difference in transparent toolbars (e.g. in Music or Safari) and the notification pop-ups.

This half-assedness seems to be the new standard for Apple.

Ever since I upgraded to Tahoe on my M1 Air I've noticed videos lag harder than my grandma trying to run for the bus.

Doesn't matter what player I use, it's like this new Liquid Ass theme is hoarding all the GPU cycles to keep itself ugly.
