I’ve neither been notified nor gotten Apple to detect that the 13.2 Ventura update is available for my 2017 27” iMac nor my 2020 Intel MacBook Air. Both are running 13.1. My iPhone 12 and 10th generation iPad both detected and installed the iOS 16.3 update without any issues and the Watch app detected and installed WatchOS 9.3 as well. I’d attribute it to running Macs with Intel processors but neither of my three Apple TV‘s are detecting that the tvOS 16.3 update is available either. I realize the two may have nothing to do with one another since one is a MacOS thing and the other tvOS thing but any chance Apple is slow walking the release of some or all of these updates to avoid opening the floodgates all at once?

Has the update been pulled? Not showing here in the UK this morning.

Edit: It is showing for my M1 MacBook Pro but not for my 2017 iMac.

This update has finally fixed:
1. an improper usage of discrete graphic card on intel MacBook Pros where applications like Music, iMessage used the one.
2. Safari's intensive CPU load.
3. Battery discharge process.

Apple's updates are such a joke these days. So bug-prone. I updated my Studio just now and the wireless mouse and keyboard Bluetooth connections got lost. Had to go dig up two Lightning cables to repair them. *eyeroll*
I manage so many updated snaps no one had an issue, probably you jus needed to wait and turn on and off your bluetooth devices, this can happens because... they are wireless. And yes I have a Mac Studio too with magic keyboard and Logitech MX master. No issue, the keyboard took 5 seconds after hitting a button to reconnect. At work a manage hundreds of Windows PCs and you have NO IDEA of what a joke update it is, believe me.

I updated and now my Dell 4k 144Mhz monitor will only go to 30 Hz, it looks terrible. Was 144Hz before the update. ugh!
I lost the ability to turn on HDR on my Gigabyte M32U display with 4K@144Mhz. HDR settings is shown only with refresh rate set to 60 Hertz or below :-(

Before 13.2 it worked.

Mac mini M1 2020
Gigabyte M32U

Tried these connections:
USB-C => DP
USB-C => USB-C

hdmi 2.0 output on Mac mini M1 2020 doesn't support 4K with refresh rate ≥60 Hertz

I'm still on Monterey as well. I was just thinking it may be time to update my MBP and Air.
For what it's worth:

I installed Ventura on my personal mac when it came out in October but left my work mac on Monterey. I installed 13.2RC on my personal mac last week and it's the first version of Ventura I feel comfortable installing on my work machine, so I did that when it was released to the public yesterday and so far everything is working great (knock on wood).

Almost like clockwork, it takes about 3 months after each major new macOS comes out for me to be happy with its performance and to feel it's ready to install on the mac I use at work.

I'm guessing you will have a good experience on it now, but out of an abundance of caution you could give it another few days and meanwhile keep an eye on the forums to see how other people's experience is going.

Either way, good luck.

With the upgrades to macOS 13.2 (2022 M2 MacBook Air) and iOS 16.3 (iPhone SE (3rd gen.)), the Mullvad VPN app is no longer able to establish a VPN connection.

Edit: The problem was caused by a coincidental issue with a Mullvad Wireguard cache server, now resolved.

In ventura 13.2 I still get background items notifications ( "Background Items added")for turned off login items. I have 9!:(
Very annoying! Fix it Apple...
That was a huge problem for me in 13.1. It's still there in 13.2 but much reduced, for me.

I wonder if some of this is on developers needing to update their apps rather than Apple? The main offender for me is an app that hasn't been updated in months.

Update Day is my favorite Apple related holiday. It's just so relaxing to update all the devices one after the other. 😋

With the exception of the laptop, as I use that for work and don't want to reboot it with an update until the weekend.
You have good self-control. On my side, on Update Day, I interrupt whatever I'm doing. Nothing is more important than an Apple Update.

I'm about to give a lecture in 20 minutes using a Keynote presentation? Whatever, I will just initiate the update on my MBP and hope it will be done before I enter the room and have to plug in the presentation. Why? Perhaps because I wouldn't be able to be focus on the lecture if I know my laptop is not up-to-date.

I have to meet a friend downtown? I'm sure the iOS update will be over as I arrive there, and if my friend texted me in the meantime, too bad. Oh well, I can't read the news while on the transit but that's just a minor inconvenience. A worst scenario would be walking around the city without the update.

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone.

Also, as soon as my partner got home:
“Darliiiing, you have to update your iPadOS before we go to bed.
- Oh, geez. It can't wait for tomorrow? Or while we're sleeping?
- Of course it can't.”

(P.s.: almost-true story.)

Most of my devices are strictly for faffing about, so I don't mind doing the updates once I'm home from work and winding down. Just last night I updated everything one by one while working on a journal entry.

I've never had an issue with any update on any device, to be honest. Nothing has ever gone critically wrong that I can recall in 15 years of using macOS or iOS. But for the laptop, I do wait until the weekend, since it's just so convenient to leave everything open and ready to go every morning.

I believe you, I apologize if it sounded as if I was mocking you. I was really joking about myself because I'm obsessed about updating as soon as I can. I don't know why. People around me do not understand why.

MacOS 13.2 Update just completely F'd my Safari Bookmarks! I just ran the update, opened Safari and found literally thousands of bookmarks and bookmark folders are all out of order. And not only recently added bookmarks, but links that have been set (unchanged order) in folders for years are are suddenly in random chaos order. WTF Apple!!
Updated all 12 macs (newer and older) in the studio, and every iOS device. Zero problems.

This is weird--I started downloading the update yesterday at work (through a hotspot) where it reported it was 1.04 GB. That download failed, so I'm trying again today, but today it's reporting at 1.55 GB Not sure what the difference is. This is on a 2019 Intel Air, btw.
