Oh great! Perfect!!! Thanks! You don't. If you have RC2, you have the final version.

@Spaceboi Scaphandre You click "More Details" and in that window, "Restore Defaults." Then you are out of the beta.
You could also useseedutil unenroll PublicSeed
(also could be CustomerSeed or DeveloperSeed depending on what track you're on)
Oh great! Perfect!!! Thanks! If you updated to RC2 the other day you don't need to. It looks like the build for today's release is the same.
What do you mean? Auto-hide the "sidebar?" Look at this—here's a "full" Chrome window. Look what happens when I move the cursor to the left:Autohide on Stage Manager would have been nice...
im having problems with safari, it get stuck in a webpage like it doesn't have internet connection, but open Chrome and works great! Is it me or RC2 seems to be slower than RC1?
How do I download the whole image instead of just the 3.92 GB upgrade?I started downloading it and it was 12.15 GB. I then quit the download and restarted, and it showed up at 3.92 GB.
Monterey 12.6.0 MacBook 2017.
I would suggest booting into Recovery and then open up Terminal and enter the followingDownloaded, installed, and now my user account doesn't load and it just kicks me into recovery. I am reinstalling from recovery now, we'll see what happens.
This is probably the third OS update that I've done since I got my M1 Mac mini that has had weird issues like this during the installation, so I guess not unexpected, but also not a great first impression.
You don't even need the app store. Just download http://swcdn.apple.com/content/down...vkboeft8qt2i3aclr5bx1e6p/InstallAssistant.pkgIs there a trick to download from the appstore on an unsupported mac?
This gives me some hope that my 2019 intel iMac will work "snappy" too. Fingers still crossed🤞🏻Just finished installing Ventura om my 2017 iMac.
I can't believe how fast the computer is right now. It's so snappy. They've really nailed the optimization this time.
Now I'm waiting for my M1 MAcbook Air to finish as well. I'm very curious to see if I get the same feeling of speed as on my older iMac.

I like to keep copies of all new macOS install images.
softwareupdate --list-full-installer
. Then, softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version
. For some reason I just tried the command and it didn't show Ventura, so maybe wait a few hours, I have no idea. How do I download the whole image instead of just the 3.92 GB upgrade?

I know it does this, would have been nice for SM to hide itself after a min or so of not being used then pop back up if you move your mouse over to the far left side of the screen. Would have been helpful on laptops with smaller displays. There are plenty of nice features in the new OS... SM could have just been a little more thoughtful. I added the button in the menu bar to toggle it off already. What do you mean? Auto-hide the "sidebar?" Look at this—here's a "full" Chrome window. Is anyone's LG 5K monitor working okay with an M1 MacMini over the USB-C connection? This is the only monitor I have so I would be rather stuffed if it didn't work.Installed Ventura on my MacMini M1 and my USB-C connection to LG monitor isn't working any more. I had use the HDMI cable. Also Screen resolution can't be adjusted like monteray. So far not very happy with Ventura. The Settings Menu is very "strange"
It was a little jarring at first. But it's a lot like the iPhone settings, so if they under those those this shouldn't be too far off.Anyone updating to it?
I am staying away from it...I am a sys admin and I can't have my users complaining to me that the System Settings UI has changed dramatically and they can't find their settings anymore.
Maybe next year. Monterey is working fine for me and the new features in Ventura aren't significant enough to upgrade to it.
I bought my first MacBook at 2012 and remember Apple charging around 20 Eur for a macOS upgrade. But that was I think the only update that I remember that was not for free. I think Mavericks was the first free upgradeI was 6 years old when they made their upgrades free, so I really don't remember when you had to pay for them. Although I DO remember when Final Cut used to cost $1000 and Logic $800.
