Where is it

I've typed in iDisk, and I can't see it there. The link (?) on the homepage does not work for me...

EDIT: Link on homepage does now work :)

fyi, you can buy MobileMe subscription from J&R com for $53 shipped ... Apple charges $99 for the same thing

I hope that iWork for iPhone is not far behind. I would love a basic version of Pages and Numbers on my phone, if only to read documents. Yes, you can read docs already, but you can't save them on your phone that I know of.

How about you guys link to the original thread that FIRST posted about the release of the app*, instead of making forum members work as free journalists?

*this is the least credit you can give to the OP.

If we'd known about the existing thread, we would have used it. But no one let us know about it, and we don't read every thread in the forums.

The threads are now merged, but in the future please either use the "report post" button next to one of the applicable posts or submit it to us.

The music and movie streaming right now is slow, and music is played landscape. If this could be better integrated into the iPod App, that would be VERY cool. Right now, it's too slow.

The app is great though.

Can someone please tell me how this is different from the current MobileMe app that has been available for some time now???

Which MobileMe app would that be? There has been no official Apple app prior to this release, but there are a few other 3rd party apps on the AppStore that allow iDisk access; ReaddleDocs, OneDisk, QuickOffice/MobileFiles, Disks etc etc.

First impressions, it seems very cool. You can have up to 200MB local storage, meaning once you've downloaded a file, it appears in "Recents" and is available without having to re-download. It states in Settings/Local Storage that "Audio and video files are streamed and not stored locally".

Don't know where you got 200MB from but here (with mobileme account) I have 18GB of storage available.

The 200MB is the maximum cache size on the iPhone app for storing files locally, it has no relation to the actual iDisk storage.

Requires 3.0... I guess I'm out.

It does look like a pretty ugly app though. What is happening to Apple? Have they forgotten how to make beautiful applications? The Keynote app is ugly too and so is the Voice Memos app.

I'm losing faith in Apple. At least Snow Leopard is looking nice.

Just downloaded to my iPhone. Very Cool.

I was wondering about this availability of this app last weekend when I loaded some documents and pictures to my iDisk. Great way to access my important docs.
