mine updated at some point earlier today. No complaints so far.
Hey Thanks, that worked. LOLHop on left foot while facing East for 30 secs then hop on right foot while facing West for another 30 secs.
LOL, awesome article. 👍this update could potentially … lay the groundwork for a future update
Well this update has improved the NC and fidelity of the music I listen to. Transparency still sucks.Nope, still relevant. I use Pro 2’s as primary when flying and there is a noticeable change in ANC quality after every update. Sometimes it improves and im stoked only for it to be nerfed again in the next update. My thoughts are it is because people complain about it being too aggressive, which I understand but is also why other brands like Bose offer adjustments for the level of noise cancelation.
Not trolling at all. Microphone goes very low or off, can't get it back without forgetting airpods and re-pairing. Left or right airpod has no sound. Pairing drops without warning. These are widespread issues. Anyone not having issues may be using only one phone, one mac, etc. I have 2 iphones, 2 macs, personal and corporate, 3 different apple accounts. It's almost a joke now to join a conference call and people are asking if they can be heard, because they can't trust their airpod pros.Without specifics, it sounds like you're trolling. Care to elaborate on what problems you've been having?
no AirPod Pro updates?
or not much from here on out I suppose
This is the Apple FBI. We need to have a word with you.Firmware update to reduce the noise cancellation effectiveness so we can be blown away when they release AirPods Pro 3 (With the same noise cancellation as the original AirPods 1 and 2).
I managed to update my AirPods to 7A294 last week pre-iOS 18 so you should be able to update if you’re staying on 17 for a bit. Plugging into a Mac often speeds up the process for me.So this FW update only shows up if updating to iOS18? Am currently on the latest 6F8 showing, iOS 17.7 and APP2 (Lightning model).
I've noticed similar issues from Siri lately. I just did a re-test after the update and it does not appear to have resolved it unfortunately.Personally I hope this fixes the weird “popping” sound that sometimes accompanies Siri announcements. It’s super annoying but I can’t detect a pattern for what triggers it. Happens in both noise cancel and transparency, and with notifications and responses to commands but fluctuates, sometimes back to back. Siri will be reading a string of text messages and the first round will pop, next will be normal then the following will go back to popping.
Try finding these versions in Feedback app 😂You know that concept called Bull**** Jobs? I think whoever at Apple maintains the AirPods release notes page may have one.
Interesting, I do usually follow available software updates on MR pertinent to my devices. Just to clarify, you have the Lightning (non USB-C) APP2 ?I managed to update my AirPods to 7A294 last week pre-iOS 18 so you should be able to update if you’re staying on 17 for a bit. USB-C model but the same update was available for both models at the same time.Interesting, I do usually follow available software updates on MR pertinent to my devices. Just to clarify, you have the Lightning (non USB-C) APP2 ?
No different than EVERY app in the App Store. Apple should enforce devs (and themselves) to document/publish changes. Example, Amazon app changes…You know that concept called Bull**** Jobs? I think whoever at Apple maintains the AirPods release notes page may have one.![]()
maybe you folks could update the text template...Apple STILL doesn’t have a way to manually upgrade AirPods software...
Huh, I haven't had any issues, nor has anyone else in the house with AirPods Pro 2. Still on 7A294.I wish they would just fix it and leave it alone. Me and everyone I know who have airpod pro 2's are having issues for the last couple of months. I'm carrying around a pair of wired headphones these days because I can't trust mine.
