If you want to update quickly, connect your airpods pro with a cable to your iPhone, wait a moment and you will get the update
Does this actually work? I remember this was a way to update the firmware of a MagSafe puck....attach it to an iPad or Mac USB-C port. Does it work for AirPods?

Tried the normal ways to do a quick update but nothing so far. Even connecting to my MBP didn’t envoke the update
I just put my case on my Apple Watch charger which was on 49%, opened lid and closed it again.
When it got to 53% I had a look and it was updated to 7A294

I think my lightning case got updated to 65.3.0 from 54.xx I believe. But my Airpods are still stuck on 6F8. Anyone elses case get updated?

What I have started doing is putting the AP2's in my ear, listen to a song for like 30 seconds, take them out and put them back in the case, then plugging them up to my MBP. After 30-45 minutes they're updated. Still a dreadfully bad way of updating, but it reliably works.

Wait what? I tried updating my AirPods Pro 2 but now my AirPods seems they are on the 6F8 version but the case shows 70.88.0 like yours on the latest 7A294 🤔 I’m confused I tried resetting them but it doesn’t change I’ll try to update them again ig. Edit: they just updated, (Version 7A294, Case 70.88.0)
