That’s odd. My AP2’s updated to 7A294 but my case is 65.3.0. What did you do to upgrade the case? Anything particular?New case firmware is 70.88.0

I assume you’re on 18rc ?Does anyone know if Voice Isolation has a switch of any sort to turn it on? I updated, found the head-movement toggle, but nothing for voice isolation or mic mode, as on the Mac.
Mine did that at first, but a while later my case was updated too. Time is your friend. That’s odd. My AP2’s updated to 7A294 but my case is 65.3.0. What did you do to upgrade the case? Anything particular?

It worked for me. Connected my 15 PM directly with usb-c to lightning with my AirPods Pro 2, opened the lid and it updated after 2min!!!It does NOT work. Been over an hour and nothing. Unenrolled beta for AirPods Pro and powercycled phone. Case open. Case closed. Zero difference.
You have to be on a call (or on a FaceTime), go into Control Centre, and then enable it at the top.
Use Voice Isolation, Wide Spectrum or Automatic Mic Mode on your iPhone and iPad – Apple Support (UK)
When you want your voice to be even clearer during a FaceTime or phone call, turn on Voice Isolation, which prioritises your voice and blocks ambient noises. When you want your voice and all of the sounds around you to be heard during a FaceTime call, you can turn on Wide Spectrum to leave...support.apple.com
It’s now implemented into the AirPods Pro directly, not on the phone, that’s the differenceI still wonder what's the difference between the previous Voice Isolation (which has been available for quite a while now) and the "new" Voice Isolation that's coming with this new firmware.
If you noticed, that article you linked was published in March and I already had voice isolation before. It was just working very badly. Maybe it's just improved?

iPhone Pro Max. AirPod Pro 2. Worked separately not directly connected. It worked for me. Connected my 15 PM directly with usb-c to lightning with my AirPods Pro 2, opened the lid and it updated after 2min!!!
Remember this only works with 15 Series because it charges your AirPods !
Maybe it was luck, I don’t know, but it (my iPhone) charged my AirPods Pro 2
