For me, the case keeps updating to 65.x then going back down to 60.83.0 still at 6F8 so I’m unsure what’s happening. I’ll leave mine overnight and see what happens.

Update AirPods have updated to 7A294 but the case is still stuck on 60.83.0

It does NOT work. Been over an hour and nothing. Unenrolled beta for AirPods Pro and powercycled phone. Case open. Case closed. Zero difference.

Just give it time, dude. If you were on the beta there's literally nothing new in this release (and there was barely anything new in the beta). If they don't update today they definitely will overnight while your iPhone and AirPods are charging.

I just had the same issue the Case updated to the latest Version (70.88.0) but the AirPods still remained at the older version (6F8) I did try and reset them but that didn’t fix it either it just nothing changed they were on the older version until just right about 5 minutes ago I just decided to check them (they weren’t plugged into a charger nor I had Bluetooth ON nor connected) I just connected Bluetooth and now it shows (Version 7A294, Case 70.88.0) so it seems they updated on it’s own so yeah you should wait too.

Been over 2 hours. Never takes this long. I’m more annoyed at the newbie who claims it works 100% of the time direct connect. Doesn’t.

Just have some patience. Still waiting here as well. I think this update is a bit bigger and takes long. Try enjoying some music or a podcast on them, then later charge them and it will update.

Mine haven’t updated either. Guess we’ll just have to be patient huh? No idea what the rush is since iOS 18 hasn’t even officially been released yet.

PS: mine just automatically updated while on the charger.

Just got the update on my AirPods Pro 2, connected to my iPhone 15 on the iOS 18 RC.

Hadn't realised that, to use the head shaking thing, you need to have "Announce Notifications" turned on. And to have that turned on, you need to "Allow Siri when locked". Which I don't.

Plugging it in to my Mac and then going to software updates worked for me. I left them charging next to my charging iPhone for a while and nothing. Plugged in to my Mac, checked for updates, left them a while. As soon as I unplugged I was prompted to enable Siri head gestures. Case and AirPods updated.

is the hearing aid compatibility only work with the airpods pro 2 2nd generation because mine are the first generation and my firmware is still 6A326

Got mine updated. However, it's not quite working. When I connect to my iPad running 18.1, I got the "what's new" popup. I then went to the AP2 setting and turned on head gestures. There is a link to try it out, and it performed as expected.

However, I called my cell phone, I got a popup on the screen but no Siri prompt in my AP2, and did not get the head gesture to work.

This was on an ipad. Anyone get it to work on an iPhone running beta?

According to the announcement, the hearing aid option is awaiting FDA approval. Apple expected it to become available with another firmware update "in the fall".

Oh Ok thanks..just not sure if its even compatible with the 1st generation that is what I have currently and my firmware is version 6A326 but Ive read on this thread other people who have firmware versions that start with a 7 not sure why that is

Does anyone know if Voice Isolation has a switch of any sort to turn it on? I updated, found the head-movement toggle, but nothing for voice isolation or mic mode, as on the Mac.

You have to be on a call (or on a FaceTime), go into Control Centre, and then enable it at the top.

Dumb question, but want to make sure. I can buy the AirPods Pro 2 on Amazon today and it will have all the features that was mentioned in the key note? Or is there an updated AirPods 2 I need to buy?

Man... mine just updated automatically while they were sitting in the case, without any intervention.

All of these people complaining and trying all these ways to get it to force the update. Just put them in their case & leave them for half hour or so.
