Same problem here. Any solution?Well this is slightly irritating. My AirPods Pro case now refuses to make that pleasant little chime noise when I charge it. The light comes on so I know they're charging, but no sound. The option is enabled by also grayed out in the interface:

Firmware version is the old one: buds 5B58, case 54.26.0
Trivial, I guess, but I do kind of appreciate that feedback sound, especially when laying it on a qi charger.
Margaret,God,
It's me Margaret.
Can you please tell apple to give us detailed airpod update notes when updates come out?
thank you,
Nothing so far. I'm kind of puzzled, because from what I can tell I'm working with the same firmware I had before. The AirPods seem to be working OK otherwise.Same problem here. Any solution?
Mine does seem improved in this department so far...Battery drain in APP2 isn't fixed? Really, Apple?! OMFG...
You have to rub the Airpods case like a genie lamp to make the update happen faster. Can't get it to update no matter what I do. Neighter the case nor the AirPods are doing anything (APP2 btw).
I just reset them (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209463) and now all is normal again. The case makes that little ding when it charges, and the setting is no longer grayed out. The firmware also seems to be updated now.Same problem here. Any solution?
I hope they don’t ruin noise cancellation again on the the AirPods max.
Your AirPods Max are faulty. If it gets any weaker, the thing can just run in Transparency mode full time
Same. I can barely hear a thing with my AirPods Max ANC turned on. Also, this latest firmware update definitely did not degrade the ANC.Your AirPods Max are faulty.
My APM have better ANC than my Sony XM4’s, which also have great ANC.
Apple finally got wise and now randomly degrades people’s ANC in detached batches so they can’t track it and will spend more time arguing! How diabolical! (/s)Same. I can barely hear a thing with my AirPods Max ANC turned on. Also, this latest firmware update definitely did not degrade the ANC.
maybe you hurt its feelings? give it a little rub?Same problem here. Any solution?
I have the AirPods Pro 2 with 5Е133 and my case discharges within about 12 hours to 0 without use of the AirPods for some time now.Im hoping this new Firmware update (when its back up) fixes the battery case rapid drain overnight issues.
Sorry to hear your having the issues with yours as well.I have the AirPods Pro 2 with 5Е133 and my case discharges within about 12 hours to 0 without use of the AirPods for some time now.
This is ridiculous. I scheduled an appointment with Apple now.
I am quite disappointed with my AirPods Pro 2. I only got them end of Dec 2022.
Not even 4 months old.
Brand new directly from Apple: At the beginning pairing with iPhone worked but not with the iPad Pro. Had to reset the earphones.
Then until a few days ago the engraving was not displayed on the iPad Pro.
And now the crazy battery drain.
I had no battery drain issue, until now. In researching the problem I find this thread. My APP2 is on 5E133, and my charging case is draining like crazy. To be clear, only the case is draining. The AirPods themselves are still full.Battery drain in APP2 isn't fixed? Really, Apple?! OMFG...
Yep I shouldn’t have mentioned they as well that my AirPods them selves don’t drain down it’s the case that keeps on draining on it’s own.I had no battery drain issue, until now. In researching the problem I find this thread. My APP2 is on 5E133, and my charging case is draining like crazy. To be clear, only the case is draining. The AirPods themselves are still full.
I completely reset my AirPods Pro 2 (again) and it seems now the problem is gone.Sorry to hear your having the issues with yours as well.
The battery drain is definitely software related as mine that I had them from early October the battery life was superb then since about a month ago it began to rapid drain.
I can’t work out if the software issues is from the iPhones iOS or the firmware from the AirPods ???
