That note should have been

A duet. Press >.

What's that avatar picture in Schiller's tweet? Does he think he's The Tick now?

I liked it too. Nice one for a change.

It's not about specs, 90% of population don't care about them anyway. It's supposed to show the bridge between generations, how everyone can use it regardless of experience, how technology isn't something that necessarily disconnects and makes us in any way less social or less human, etc.

I think its done wonderfully.

Wow transfer a mp3 from notebook air to ipad......Amazing.....:apple:

I think you missed the part where she recorded the old vinyl music to the macbook air and then played along and sang making it a duet for her grandmother.

But don't worry, I'm sure your comment was just as amazing to produce too.

I liked it. I may have even got a little choked up. Not as good, in my opinion, as last year's but I still thought this was nice. Heartfelt even.

This is a great ad because it hits the criticism of content creation vs. consumption head on. No other company could make the claim that any creative individual (non-computer user) can pick up and old record, a guitar and a macbook air and iPad and create something so easily. Of course other companies have all these solutions too but if they even tried to show something like this it would read false.

Apple's iPad might not be the content creation workhorse that some of their ads try to proclaim it to be but it's good to remind people that you don't have to be a professional or a tech geek to do more than just consume content. You can actually create content with sophisticated tools that are user friendly.

Christmas always magnifies the absence of those you love. This film captures that perfectly. Great ad

You gotta hand it to Apple, they know their strengths which apart from the excellence of the product and OS, is the emotional attachment that their items engender. Hence the connection between this ad and the mbair 'stickers' ad, two utterly different ad in every way possible yet both full of emotion with the product at the centre.

Contrast with the hilariously shallow ads by competitors either trying to slag off Apple or imply their product has some great feature, like being a tablet and a laptop at the same time. It would be like Yamaha advertising their bikes are quieter than a Harley.

I've been hating Apple ads lately. Just terrible...

Even if this wasn't in your taste, the word "terrible" seems intense for any of their ads. They are well, written, well composed with fantastic shot compositions and all around tip top execution. "Terrible" in my book is many local ads which are both conceptually and execution wise poor.

anyone who doesn't get a little choked up after viewing this spot is either soul deficient or a registered Republican

Well done! Does not need specs and other mumble jumble to sell product. Capturing and continuing of memories that make up a family, now that sells.
