I got this error while playing the ad file. I assume there is a high load, but it should prompt you for size reduction first to all users to lower overall traffic during peak loads or always. Also on another occasion it started to download and play but choked. Rather than resume later where it left off it choked out.

These are issues with error trapping.

LOL you sound a lot like me :D I am my family's IT department. Just spent half an hour last night helping my mom get her digital photos off her camera, onto her computer (Dell with XP!!!!) and onto a CD. What a nightmare. I pleaded with her to get a Mac when that thing dies.

Hey, I feel you. I'm my family's IT guy too. If my grandmother ever needs help with her dell, I'm the first person she calls. Problem is, she isn't so good at following directions when it comes to computers. This woman was a scientist in her day, and now even telling her to click on the start menu takes a good 15 seconds. The iPad eliminates such a massive amount of hassle, some of which exists still in the Mac.
Steve said it well. Everything on the mac goes good, until they have to deal with the filesystem. Then it's just a seemingly endless jungle of cryptic directories that only experience can tell you what it all means. We recently got her an iPhone and she seems to be making a fair bit of use out of it. Before she had that phone, she literally NEVER called anyone on it, and usually had it off. Now, she has it on 24/7, uses facetime, and calls me on it. It's amazing. I didn't have to show her how to do most of what she now does effortlessly on the iPhone, and the iPad is no different.

That was beautiful. Simply amazing. Our competitors need to see this ad and learn how to do marketing right.

Why are these ever on the front page? It’s useless news. Some of the stuff on the Page 2s is more worthy.

While no ad will come close to the Think Different campaign, these ads are trying. In a few years, we'll look back and go.... that's why. Actually, today we can say that. These ads are stepping stones of history in the making, with an emotional grab.

That's why they are on the front page.

li love my ipad and i look foward to a future version that really supports drawing and handwriting--but its not there. Whoaaa--its so not there. But it will come to the tablet market and perhaps the ipad eventually--the asus tablet with capacitative adn cintique technology looks promising. Meanwhile--you guys knock yourself with your 10 words to a page notetaking...

Sheer genius. Perfectly put together. No nonsense like the "OMG it can now do cats," commercial. No specs, not getting even bogged down with app names. Raises lots of easily-answered questions, and makes you smile. Nobody does it like Apple, period.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; nl-nl) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

They should use imovie, garageband and pages in one ad. Three amazing things that will never exist on whatever android tablet they make.

The mail badge towards the end of the commercial indicates 7 unread messages. Clearly this implies Lion will be released on July 7th. That's how rumors start right? ;)

I'd really like to see apple push a universal standard & universal hardware for video calling. To be able to call someone's phone, living room TV, or their computer from your iPad would be amazing.

Ideally, I'd like the Apple TV to have a forward facing iSight HD camera in it so I can video call my grandma who lives in another state from my iPad. I'd buy everyone in my family a $99 Apple TV if that was the case.

I believe FaceTime is just that. An open standard.
Anyone can jump right in and support it, afaik.

I believe that to be a deliberate half truth put out by Apple. It is a secret proprietary standard based off a lot of public standards. Last time I looked nobody but Apple were able to use it.

These remain a heck of a lot better it's competitors. The Blackberry Playbook Ad seems in initially funny, until you realise it's aimed at those people who know what flash does without knowing that the majority of the web has caught up with the iPad and put their stuff in an iPad compatible format.

No specs, no "ours does this does yours?" not even the name of the product spoken in the ad.

Focus on the experience - absolutely perfect. Damn they really know what they're doing don't they.

It's funny, I could do all these things (in better quality though) for many years now on my PC. What exactly is Apple trying to tell us here?

While you were on a train/plane/bus? No, ... So what exactly are you trying tosay?

Fantastic. Probably my favourite iPad commercial since "What is iPad" last year. I really like the atmosphere of these last three iPad 2 commercials. There seem instilled with a sense of quiet wonder, as if Apple themselves are amazed at this thing they've created is and how it changed things.

Love the iPad 2 apps, they're fun, quirky and elegant. I just wish they'd transfer this elegance to their iPhone ads, I die a little inside when I hear "If you don't have an iPhone..." ads.
