Strange

Already played with it. I hate it.

I might not hate it if it actually worked. Like, ever.

Once you look at a CD (in my case) you can't look at your playlists, music, or anything else again without quitting and re-opening.

That's strange. I don't have that issue.

----------

iTunes is nice and all, but my god is it bloated. I must use like 10% of its features.

Everyone says that. I must just be a massive media consumer, cause I feel like I use pretty much all of iTunes.

How do you search your iPhone? Am I missing something it was able to be done on iTunes 11. I can't find the search bar when scanning the music.

Check out the release dates on this image:
iTunes%2012.jpg

No release date in the list view, and a really dumb release date in the info window.

By the way, that info window completely destroys my workflow. I used to be able to tab tab tab, copy, tab, paste, tab, type year, tab, paste etc. Now, half the fields don't appear until you close and re-open the info window. It's not an improvement, not at all :(

(And yes, I've reported this to Apple.)

I've sporadically had that when going between the music's Album view and the Match pane (while performing a Match update). Fortunately it's not too consistent in my case.

The other issue I've noticed in past releases is rarely do devices on my network appear in iTunes which is limiting the ability to perform wi-fi syncs. This worked fine for the most part in iTunes 11.

If they fix those two issues up then I think I'll be happy...I quite like the UI changes.

iPhones in Recovery Mode can now be updated without being restored

Hi folks!
I just made a huge discovery!
(OS X 10.10 Yosemite GM, iTunes 12, iOS 8.1)
iPhone in recovery mode (not DFU thought) can now be updated without being systematically restored!
This is the prompt I got after my iPhone went in recovery mode!

That's awesome, as if an update fails from now on, people won't loose their stuff!

Isn't that a problem with the current iTunes, too? Somehow, there is no Next button on the Info windows anymore in my iTunes. I don't know why anybody would want to mess with that part of the UI and purposefully "break" the old flow.

Apple keeps changing the UI, icons and adding some gimmicks, keeps bloating the application up, while ignoring the glaring inconveniences, long-standing bugs and lack of organizing-related features.

Can't remember the last version that was actually better than its predecessor.

And don't get me started on the icon itself. Still using this one.

Thank God it wasn't just me. I spent a half hour looking for that a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah me too... Strange I can't seem to find it. I ended up just copying all my music and moving it to my phone and it essentially just autofilled in the songs I didn't have on there. But I miss just a simple click on the autofill button :(

The bug where Home Videos in the iTunes library didn't show up on Apple TVs through Home Sharing seems to be fixed.

Am I the only one that finds the new UI without sidebar really inconvenient to actually use?

I need my sidebar, too.

Also the traffic lights shouldn't be centered.

And number 3: What's with the Info window? Ugh...

Number 4: Fix podcasts...

As for things they should introduce:
•Apply more than one genre
•Allow for sub-genres (similar to sub-tags in Aperture or whatever they are called)
•More video sections than TV, Movies, Home videos and the semi-section podcasts
And a bunch more that I can't remember right now, I have a wish list even somewhere...
