Is it me, or has anyone noticed that the graphic performance on a 2009 Macbook Pro 13" (with the nVidia 9400m) is pretty bad. Like the opening of the folders in Launchpad and Expose are incredibly laggy for me.

Even after this update :(

Not surprised, I hope its fixed, but I remember when I had an iMac with the 9400M whenever I would launch stacks in snow leopard with lots of applications there would be some lag..

Hmm, yeah there would be a little lag here and there (especially with loads of apps in stacks, like you said. But on the whole its very snappy, even for games and such.

But the amount of lag I'm experiencing in Lion is frankly appalling, enough to hold me off from upgrading. Since we're this close to release, I'm worried it might not be fixed

man i hate the launchpad. it's useless on my 27" ACD. it's too big.

i wish i can set the window size to only show it at 1024x768 pixels window

Man. Am I the only one that hates the linen background Apple is using? I feel that is going to grow old quick...

Lots of people couldn't even install DP4... so I guess this update is not for them ((

Lion even after this update is still a mess.

It's going to be many months before it becomes stable enough to use for any serious work.

Damn and here I was thinking we were like three weeks from release - given that I didn't expect the free-upgrade period to go more than 30 days. Either way I still know I won't be able to resist day 1 upgrades - fresh installs if indeed we can with the download!

Well, Lion creates special partion on the HDD which you can access holding ALT on the boot of your mac. This partition will hold all installation files and could be used for clean install

Really ? I used DP 1-3 as my primary OS but with a SL dual boot option just in case snce DP4 I have used it exclusively. Mail is a touch flakey but CS 5.5 offce 2011 are solid Xcode works well and the sync with iOS 5 is superb.

am I the only person having a problem with my MBP waking from sleep when i close the lid during normal usage? am i supposed to do something special in Lion or is this a bug?

Man, from reading the last few pages of this thread, it sounds like Lion is still really buggy. Hope they iron it all out before the rest of us get our hands on it. :)

Oh interesting concept, I like that.

Re waking from sleep when the lid is closed, that sounds suspiciously like the return of the long-lived Leopard bug. Even in SL I'm not completely trusting that my Air always goes to sleep, and it has no indicator light to tell me!

ah i don't like it. wastes my precious SSD with only 128GB. well i hope they include on in the usb stick when i buy the new macbook air in the future.

I'm having a problem in Safari and the two-finger "back" gesture. It works for several pages and then randomly it ceases to work. I restart Safari and the process starts over. Frustrating.

Yes I am experiencing this also.. Reaslly annoying. I was really getting used to peaking back and forward between pages

Something has been fixed . . .

Launch pad now works on my Mac Pro.

Stopped working after dp3 upgrade.

Not that I plan on using Launchpad on my 2-screen setup, but one less bug is good.

Launchpad is working as it should now. But you can only delete apps that are downloaded via the Mac App Store. You can't delete other apps from the Launchpad. And if I remember correctly you could before the update.

It has new problems.

Can't swipe between pages in Safari (Backwards or Forwards).

How does one do that? It doesn't appear to be working on my Macs atm.

You click on the little "arrow" button that appears next to the link when you hover over it. This is not a new feature, it has been in Lion since the first dev build. What is cool is it works with other identifiers like tracking numbers and pops up with a tracking window for FEDEX/UPS numbers.

All i want is more Magic Mouse love. Mouse gestures are weak at best.

Magic Trackpads are pretty much standard requirement now for desktop Macs in my opinion. If you are using just a Magic Mouse you are always going to miss out, there just isn't enough room to pull off anything but really basic gestures.

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple changed it so that Magic Trackpads are shipped as the standard cursor device for any new desktop Macs. They would always have the BTO option to get the Magic Mouse instead, but in retail stores that wouldn't be an option and people would have to buy a mouse separately. But the reality is that most people would be just fine with the Magic Trackpad.
