Full on re-sync, iPhone is wiped clean. Initially had error that iPhone was not recognized, but iTunes quickly found it and restored me to initial settings.

In Singapore and iTunes tells me that 2.0 is available for my Touch but when I click to purchase I get an iTunes error.

Annoying, but at least it's getting closer!

GOD I saw the app store and everything then my iPhone started to resync my movies and music. It will be another few minutes...

I should have had nothing syncing to my last iPhone update then this would be way faster!!

In Michigan I now get "New 2.0 available in iTunes Store", but the Store is still busy.

Someone posted that 2.0 will allow ANY 02 payg sim to work in the iPhone w/o it being unlocked.

I emailed 02 about this and they are insistent that you have to buy an 02 PAYG iPhone SIM (in stores now apparently) for it to work on PAYG w/o hacking.

Can anyone who has NOT jaibroken/unlocked their iPhone and is using a regular 02 PAYG SIM confirm this?

I don't think what O2 are saying is correct.
Their website has a help article with a form you can submit to "add iPhone services" to an existing O2 PAYG SIM card.

I quote from O2, "You can put your existing O2 Pay & Go SIM card into your iPhone and use as normal".

The difference now is that iTunes lets you activate it with an O2 PAYG SIM card. Before it would not let you do this, which is why you then had to jailbreak it to fake activation (but not unlock it).

Note that another poster on here had a problem with his O2 SIM card in that iTunes would not recognise it for activation, however that appears to be an exception to the rule. O2 are sorting him out with a new SIM card.

Yay a Mississippi MacRumors user. Not many of us. Anyway.. I really don't know what to do.. you can't downgrade to 1.1.4 after you installed this... can you? If that's the case.. that's what I'm going to do... and when i get home I'm going to restore to 2.0 fresh.
