Downloading (just outside of DC) took about 5 tries of clicking check for update to get it to do it.

It's 218.2MB for me...as opposed to the 225MB leaked that I downloaded but didn't install...

Nearly ready - all d-l'd and backed up, but taking a v long time "preparing iPhone software for restore"

still nothing....

Any idea as to how long it takes and if anything is displayed? I clicked the download and update link in iTunes, and the software downloaded, but then did nothing. No action via iTunes or throught the iPhone indicating that the update is doing anything. Anyone complete the process yet?

Yeah, same here in Singapore. WTF. Apple is annoying tonight. Suppose loads of people are looking for it.

For us geniuses that used the leaked version with the different build number, how do we use the official release from Apple?

Simply go into DFU mode and then restore to 1.1.4. Since the baseband is still from 2.0, there will be a restore error saying restore was aborted.. it wasn't. Open ziphone and go to mode and then reboot your phone. It should be on 1.1.4 now. Upgrade like everyone else and you will be fine! :D

well, i'm going to bed. hopefully when i buy my iphone tomorrow morning the kind folks at the apple store here in sydney will load it on for me :D

happy app'ing everyone!!

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A102 Safari/419.3)

I can't wait to update and start using the Apps that I downloaded yesterday. Does anyone know if the firmware is going to allow more pages on the home screen? I think that you can have up to 4 on 1.1.4 and with all the great new Apps I can see people needing more.
