"OS X v10.11 is already installed on this computer. Use the Updates page to install the 10.11 update or if you would like to download the full OS X installer click Continue."

But nothing shows up in software update :(
Looks like it's only available as a full installer at the moment. It has appeared in Updates on my 13" rMBP running the 10.11.1 beta, but with a Download button (to download the full installer) instead of the usual Update.

Edit: Looks like the update version just hit.

Update should be working now... I am updating as we speak 942MB combo update.

Both 9.1 and 10.11.1 just showed up for me. 30 MB for iOS 9.1 and 942 MB for OS X 10.11.1. Beta tester on both. Located in Connecticut.

Edit: iOS is build 13bB143 OS X is build 15B42

I just installed El Cap last night (what can I say; I was waiting for Boston transit directions to go live) and the only issue I ran into was one of the ones the update fixes: the outgoing server for my main email account was set to "None". Even so, one of the smoothest updates ever.

How do I go from public beta to regular El Capitan? I am currently running latest public beta, but want to update to 10.11.1 and keep it.

After installing the 10.11.1 official release, go to System Preferences > App Store, click the Change button, and click Do Not Show Pre-release Updates. After that you won't be bothered by beta updates in the App Store.

My app store shows both the update (1.19G) and the full install (6.17G). I do have to question why Apple thinks that new emojis are the of so much importance that Apple devoted time to listing them as an important part of the update.

This Update has ruined my Mac, the MacBook won't start anymore :(
