A lot of people were complaining that Microsoft should have had their act together considering the long beta. A few people had pointed out that it seemed to be an issue with Apple if Microsoft publicly stated that a fix was coming from Apple. And this update is further proof that there was something in OS X 10.11 that was causing problems for Office.

I would hope this experience would let the people upset at Microsoft be more careful about laying blame to everyone but Apple, though I won't hold my breath.

I'm glad the fix is around. The crashes aren't frequent but they're definitely annoying.

I have a couple of outstanding tickets open with Apple regarding El Capitan. One has to do with keychain and our internal intranet and shared windows drive (something most likely unique to a small amount of companies and still an issue with today's update) and the other has to with the apple wireless keyboard and magic mouse. A couple of times throughout the day, everyday, the mouse and keyboard will say connection lost and then about 10 seconds later, it will just reconnect. How odd. This started in the later betas and is open since then. They asked for logs, but nothing else since then. I guess I'll find out throughout the day if this is still an issue.

As I mentioned here, the Install OS X El Capitan app now receives updates in App Store > Updates. It's not a system update, rather an app update for the installer.
That "app" deleted itself when I installed El Capitan. Is there a way to get the app to not nuke itself when you install?

Finally, they fixed the preview bug which stopped quartz filters from working.

Only took 10 bug reports over 2 months!!!

I love these moments... (the nerd in me..). Gets me through tonight :D

The easiest way around the deletion would be to copy the app to a different folder and move it back to Applications after the install is finished. I keep spare copies of all the OS X installers I've "Purchased" from the App Store.

Will this fix the wifi issue of having to always turn it off and on to get it working?

I see they still haven't fixed the new God-awful way Spaces works. Seriously, how hard is it to put a setting in so that people with big monitors can have the thumbnails open up automatically instead of having to first mouse over them?

omg... my MacBook Pro 13'' keeps showing Restarting...
without continuing....

what to do????

OneDrive for Business still doesn't work, need to see if there was an update on the Microsoft end

I updated one of my Mac Minis which left my Logitech mouse unresponsive. I unplugged and replugged the dongle, all is fine so far now. The funny thing is, my Logitech K750 worked no problem, but my Logitech Anywhere MX Mouse didn't work
