I hope the Office fix really fixes the problems. Using the Office applications has been painful due to crashes and bugs.

Seriously, why are people so hung up about Apple adding new emojis?

I'll bite a little. A lot of the language characters in Unicode have been around for 100's, if not 1000's of years. Look through some of the stupid crap in these emojii (is that right?) and see how many will be unrecognizable in 50 years, or less. It's just a silly thing (to me) to be passing on to our ancestors.

You mean passing on to our descendants?

Is this is a new feature in 10.11.1? Open two safari windows with the same site. The background window will fade out, showing inactive, and the foreground window won't.

Where did you find the full installer 10.11.1 to make an USB bootable stick ?

If you download your purchase of El Capitan again it should be the full installer.

For me (developer beta 4) it showed up as an update and the real update 1.07 GB several minutes later.

Downloaded the installer and installed last night on an iMac. Just checked and it's downloading the 10.11.1 update and installing it on that machine.

If I download a new installer from the App Store will it install 10.11 or 10.11.1?

I think this is a bug. It's been happening to me on and off since 10.11.1 beta. I can't replicate it. It just kind of happens and then goes away.

Strange.... I updated to 10.11.1 and App Store still shows that as needing to be updated.

where is the combo update ?

Update should be working now... I am updating as we speak 942MB combo update.

Guys, there is no combo, you need a minimum 10.x.2 version for it to be called a combo.
10.11.0 is the new OS, then 10.11.1 is only 1 update from 10.11, the combo combines previous ones, so there will be a combo from 10.11.2 and onwards since it will skip all the former 10.11.1-2-3-4...versions.

Noticed that when I installed the update over beta 4 it unticked the "prevent the computer sleeping when the display sleeps" option in Settings -> Energy Saver.

I have this ticked as I stream a lot and my plex streaming suddenly stopped :(

My app store shows both the update (1.19G) and the full install (6.17G). I do have to question why Apple thinks that new emojis are the of so much importance that Apple devoted time to listing them as an important part of the update.
I would download it and create a USB Installer as part of a recovery tool.

Does anybody else have this odd issue within system report whereby the scroll bars appear jagged and uneven?

No RAID support in Disk Utility anymore, but we now have a taco icon and middle finger! Woohoo! That middle finger one will come in handy when I send Tim Cook my feedback on how I feel about Apple's priorities these days. ;)

Hey, the new iTunes update has a nice BEGGAR SCREAM on it when you start iTunes after the update! "WON'T YOU PLEASE TRY iTUNES MUSIC!?!? PLLLLLEEEEEAASSSE??? COME ON! START YOUR FREE TRIAL ALREADY!!??!?! I'LL THROW IN A BURRITO ICON FOR FREE!"

Yeah, it was pretty annoying. I guess everyone went back to Spotify after the trial period ended because iTunes looked like some kid designed the interface. I hear his name is Johnny Boy.

In my experience Safari does that when the rendering process for that window/tab crashes or gets held up.

I can't reproduce your issue here. Maybe try restarting Safari or test on a different site?

I have iTunes Match and don't wish to use Apple Music.

If anyone can tell me truthfully that my iTunes metadata like Play Counts, Last Played and DRM status won't get messed up in 10.11.1, I'd be very grateful. It's the one thing holding me off upgrading to El Capitan.

El Cap and iTunes Match running - never had any problem, all swell.

I had the latest public beta, and I'm still seeing an update. Maybe some last minute bug fixes.

Also the new 27" iMac I ordered was supposed to be delivered today, but I got an email this morning saying it was delayed for one to two days. I had paid extra for overnight shipping (because I'll be out of town early next week and couldn't be here to sign for it). Now the delivery could slip to Monday anyway. I canceled my order. I'll wait a few days and order again (without the overnight shipping).
