so, do the language add ons offer system wide spell check and dictionary for said languages or is it just a bunch of fonts?

It offers neither spell checking (which is very bad omission), nor do the fonts need any update since they support these languages already.

What this adds is that the user interface (menus, buttons) are now translated to those languages, so users from those countries can use Mac OS X in their native language.

I just got done with the update and things are not good. Everything crashes! I can't open anything including browsers, mail, or Time Machine!!!! Any suggestions?

You guys probably need to clear out your caches (and/or rebuild your launch database and reset PRAM). Also maybe download the combo update this time.

I've been running this thing the past week and it hasn't even blinked on me. Everything launches as per normal and i haven't even had a hint of a crash. No slowdowns, no wi-fi issues, no loud fans. Just smooth sailing.

Its by no means perfect and needs some work...but it is far from catastrophic either.

No iCloud integration yet... I was hoping to be able to access iCloud files without having to open it in Safari.

I haven't really seen anything revolutionary in this update yet. :(

Reinstall GrowlMail 1.3.3. Mail disables plugins every update. Don't know why.
Didn't work the first time, then I downloaded it again and it worked, thanks!

Is scrolling while loading a page (or while a page in another tab is loading) still laggy and unresponsive in Chrome?
Seems fine to me, pretty much the same as when its not loading, of course I never noticed a problem before the update.

I'm on the last developer release, 11D50. Can someone click on the 10.7.3 part of the About This Mac panel and tell me what the final build is?

Software Update isn't showing anything for me, so I assume that 11D50 was the GM build of 10.7.3 (my Safari is also 5.1.3).

I was hoping that this new update would switch it back to Snow Leopard. Boy was I wrong. :(

Np.

They really just need to make Growl support native in Mail, or at least allow some kind of notifications from the app. I don't want to have to reinstall a plugin every time either.

Hi i know this may be a silly question but i am downloading the update and my internet keep cutting out or the update stops and i get a message saying i need to re try and connect to the internet, when i try again the update continues from where it got to. Does continuing affect the update. Should i start it again or just continue?

Any help guys would be appreciated

Yes, it's 11D50.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Just upgraded my MBP early 2011. DOES NOT WORK! Every program I try to open crashes and showing this message:

I'm going back to 10.7.2 via Time Machine.

I am having the exact same problem with my 13" mid-2010 MBP. Tried resetting NVRAM, tried going into Safe Mode, no help. Once I get to the bottom of the thread, I will start reloading from a recent Time Machine backup like you.

Problems!!!

Mac Pro (2,1) 8-core 3.0GHz, every single app crashes after restart!

I have never ever had any problems with updates since X 10.0 beta, and now this... :(

Now I am upgrading my Mini to see how it goes...

It's time for Time Machine back to 10.7.2 on Mac Pro till we see where is the catch...

Good here.

Just got done updating my MBP Mid 2010 and I'm running well.

10 minute download of 730.6MB (15Mbps DSL)

12 minutes to install

It's working just as it always has which is to say very well. :D

Important Question:

So how much does that update weigh in terms of size AFTER installation, how much more space do you need on your hd/ssd.

In view of the fact that a lot of us have airs with relatively small ssds...

I have to admit Lion has disappointed me greatly. I have encountered so many lockups and performance issues since it was released. And worryingly it seems Apple has no idea how to fix them.

I assume others have seen one of the annoying issues when the display starts dancing to the right and you can't do anything for short bursts of time (10-30 seconds)? I guess this is the new variant of the spinning beachball of death. I've reproduced this on my iMac, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.

My iMac with 12GB RAM really starts to feel sluggish when I have a fair number of applications open in Lion. I never had the same problems in Snow Leopard. I have the same problems on both my MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. Both of those admittedly have less RAM and less CPU power, but still never had issues with Leopard or Snow Leopard. If iCloud was available with Snow Leopard I would have downgraded all of my machines ages ago.

What really agitates me is Windows 7 is running beautifully on the i5, 12GB RAM iMac. Far better than Lion ever does. It's so much better performance-wise that I'm now having to make the galling decision to use Windows 7 on my production machine for real work. That means bye bye Mac OS X as you can't use full disk encryption and BitLocker on a single drive machine.
