Seriously, I've been waiting for this forever. So excited to finally have my Wifi functioning correctly

I'm having some quirky Messages issues on all devices. Stuff sending really slow and not showing up even close to the same pace on 2014 15" rMBP and iPhone 6. Not sure what the Retina Mini is doing as it's still updating.
A side article on MR forum, states they are having server problems and it is not related to the software update. Causing some messages to hang. I am actually glad to hear that it probably is not the update that is the source of it.

iTunes stop light colors are still inverted.
Display still mirrors screen onto external display on start up.

Wifi so far better, but will need further testing.

Time Machine is Still Completely Hosed

Enter TM and all monitors go black, no access to the iMac and have to do a hard reboot

Edit: Continuity and handoff are still broken as well... When my iPhone rings and my mac (on occasion) gives me the option of answering the phone, if I dismiss the call from my iPhone the mac will keep rising continuously (hours if I would let it) until I dismiss it on my mac...

Edit1: WiFi still flaky...

Edit2: MAS still showing updates when none are there...

Looks like you are going to have to wait longer. 10.10.01 doesn't fix anything relating to Network or WiFi

Why would they claim the update fixes Wifi issues and they're not fixed?

I never had issues in the first place, so this is irrelevant to me... but it's just surprising.

I have to say, as a fanboy, the number and seriousness of the bugs in the last few releases (everything past Snow Leopard) is starting to make be thing the OS is getting bloated and unwieldy. Sort of like, do I dare say it...Windows.

Tim keeps talking about what is important is the experience the use has interacting with the system, but having to deal with a lot of buggy systems is not providing a good user experience. If more "features" yields more frustration my the user, those new features are not necessary making the product better.

It may be time to get this unwieldy beast under control. Maybe the next major release should not contain much new but just make things work better under the hood. JMHO

There's still an App Store notification in the menu bar ("1 new") even though there are no new apps to download.

The notification goes away when App Store is open, but returns after I quit App Store.

Also, I could see that a right-click on an update showed the expected "hide update" but it was ineffective.

Apple's QM/QA/QC is failing them...

If you run a backup while an external disk is dismounted, next time its mounted and a backup is performed then the space requirement calculation is the whole of the space on the drive not just the delta.

If you have used more space on the external than is available on the TM drive then it will hose some/all of your old backups.:(

This update reset my keyboard back to US, even though it was set to UK. Yosemite install did the same thing.

OH COME ON!!!.. did not fix anything for me.... still experiencing the same connection issues... using a wifi repeater which worked splendid prior to Yosemite. Works fine when I'm in the living room but once I go to the office (thus needing the repeater) my connections drops every 3-5 minutes... this is getting ridiculous!

Is there a way to revert to Mavericks without a recent backup??

Doesn't fix the WiFi issues I'm experiencing...

The WiFi works just fine on my home connection, but if I try to tether the connection from my phone (Lumia 920) it drops the connection completely about a minute or two after connecting. Kind of annoying considering it worked completely trouble free in 10.9.

Fortunately for me that scenario has not occurred. The backups are still there but for now I am going to start using carbon copy cloner again (bootable). It is just to dangerous to let the system run without a reasonable backup...

It is like Yosemite was written by Microsoft

I'm pretty sure this is unique to your system as I haven't read similar reports, nor have I experienced this for myself.

Personally, I've had very few hiccups with Yosemite, but plenty with Mavericks. I feel like I'm in the minority...

So far, Wifi and Handoff have worked without issue, and I'm noticing significant performance improvements in Safari/Flash, as well as SMB file sharing. This has been one of the more stable releases in recent memory, at least with my usage patterns.

Time Machine

Contrary to what it says in the release notes, Time Machine is still broken (at least for me).

Resolves an issue that might prevent Time Machine from displaying older backups

I can go back and forth on the Desktop folder, but if I try to go to Documents (or any other folder), nothing happens.

Can't believe something that should have just been a cosmetic change from the behavior in Mavericks still doesn't work.

Things like Numbers seems to be starting up A LOT faster. I don't think I've ever said this, but it really is snappier. My MacBook shutdown in record time (like in the good old days of SL). It was pretty fast with 8.x, but now it seems even faster. Going to sleep still takes forever (even with hibernatemode set to 0). Booting up still takes about the same amount of time (which hasn't been too bad with Yosemite).

I'm impressed. As penance I'll skip bitching about the next thing they do wrong.
