Safari just hung when I tried to reply here.
So, I guess this update didn't fix safari.

Apple-get your act together. I know you can make money but how about making us happy?

I don't know if anyone asked it yet (I've looked as much as I can through the whole thread) but I would like to know if it is possible yet to create a Bootable USB OS X 10.10.2.

I guess I would have to download it from the App Store and then use DiskMakerX to do it, right ?

The other thing that I am not sure is how to include the Time Machine Recovery to the Bootable USB. I had it on 10.9 but since 10.10 and 10.10.1 it is no longer available.

Thanks in advance for your help ! :)

So I usually download the updates manually
I get the Combo update so that I can use it on any of the machines, and to keep around if I do a clean install on a machine and want to update it quicker. In the past I've always been able to use Combo updates on any of the machines, even on machines only 1 release behind. Is that no longer possible in Yosemite?

Edit: The Delta (non combo) update ran fine...

Apparently Apple has changed. The system requirements for the 10.10.2 Combo state 10.10 is the required OS for installation. Edit: the 10.9.5 Combo update lists 10.9 as the required system, so perhaps this is unintentional.

The Combo doesn't work, AFAIK. I've tried on an 2010 11" MBA and roommies 2012 13" MBA. Both are on stock 10.10.1 and both say "The Volume does not meet the requirements for this Update". :S

Weird... That's not how its supposed to work. I got on board back in the Leopard days (starting with the Intel Macs) and a Combo update has always been a cumulative update from any previous dot release...

Edit: Just confirming that the 10.10.2 Combo Update won't install over 10.10.1. I gotta think someone on the packaging team borked this up inadvertently. It makes absolute zero sense to release a combo update that only works with the base release version (10.10), especially since that can no longer be downloaded.

Same - Safari just hung for me as well. It was snappy, but after a few hours of use it died again.

Considering Apple just made record profits, they should really invest a good chunk into OSX. It's a dying operating system and starting to fall behind Windows. Yes, Windows 8 was a bit of a disaster, but in terms of general reliability it may actually be better than OSX these days (Windows 7 is).

I'm trying to DL now. I just checked my download speed and as usual I have a speed of 60 mbps. The download has already been going for an hour or so and says it has 2 left.

How can Apple serve out HD iTunes content on a weekly basis without issue and not be able to serve a 443 mb file?

That's the $18 billion question.

Edit: It's been about 4 hours. The time left ranges from 1.5 hours to 5 hours. And, again, this is with a 60 mbps connection.

Mail Problems?

Hi!

A friend of mine updated to 10.10.2 (like I did) and is unable to send/receive E-Mail (unlike I do).

Anyone with problems in Mail ?

Apple should speed ahead with a Yosemite replacement, hopefully going back to a sophisticated look and away from Ivy's childish design.
Safari is a dog now, seriously awful performance and they need to get the re-size buttons back on a different spot than the web bar.
Amazing what a suck fest Yosemite is and it has seriously made me 'Think Different' about Apple.
I am no longer touting the company or it's OSX the way I used to, especially since the latest Mac Mini came out.
The most disappointing computer and OS to come out since I can remember.

I don't know if anybody has mentioned this yet. But this update has made a big improvement in the stuttering glitches a lot of have with our Retina iMacs going in and out of mission control. It's made a big difference on mine. It's still not quite buttery smooth, but a huge improvement.

Finally pulled the trigger on updating to Yosemite with this update. Did a clean install from Mavericks, time machined my files in there and everything runs flawlessly! :D

Wow, this is nice! Animations are smooth, safari lag has vanished, no weird freezes, etc. The system was stable before (after a clean install. the upgrade did NOT go well.) but it was never very agile. Now it feels like a brand new machine.

So I've ordered the wireless AC upgrade for my early 2013 rMBP. I'm definitely keeping this thing now that I know it can work the way it is supposed to.

Now, if apple could keep my bluetooth keyboard and trackpad connections stable after sleep, The system would be great.

I guess Photos will be in 10.10.3?

I really hope they don't bring us that ****** thing. iPhoto is more useful by far.

Still problems with Airplay

Hi

The problem with airplay between MacAir and AppleTV is still present. You get very bad sync problem with bluetooth enabled on the Macbook Air.

Definitely some performance improvements on my early 2011 MBP. Animations seem a bit more fluid, as does safari. Wish they would fix the stacks label issue where the edges are all jaggered.

Tried resetting Safari?

Seems much smoother on my 2014 13" rMBP. Mission Control, Launchpad etc all seem much smoother. No lag even with many windows and desktops/full screen apps. I'm running in 1920x1200 HiDPI mode.

What the hell happened to that poor mac?!

How many times... don't carry your macbook in the pocket of your skinny jeans. Asking for trouble :D

10.10.2 works fine on my 2012 Mac Mini, only one thing broke: I can't preview html documents anymore, I just get a an empty, white window.

external monitor issues.

After upgrading to 10.10.2 Beta, I have experienced a problem with connecting my mid2010 Macbook Pro 13" to my Samsung TV. the cnnection is done via an HDMI to minidisplayport adapter, I get the message "No signal". I therefore checked that my HDMI cable worked with my Stationay PC, and there IS a signal to my monitor using the cable. Then there is the adapter, could that cause the problem. I incline to say that it is the OS that is causing the trouble. But is could be the adapter. I will have a friend come over in the weekend with his windows laptop and hook it with my TV via HDMI directly. If there is a signal, I down to two possible outcomes. Either the adapter is broken, or the OS somehow is causing trouble.. any other have the same issue?
Remmeber I am using an older Macbook Pro. And the problem came after installing the Beta. the full version of the OS 10.10.2 isnt helping either.
