I bet some of those features were annoying, ... like really annoying...

"No, I am not typing in the back-yard"

First test: Wifi issue (in my case: severely degraded speed when Bluetooth is active (rMBP 15'', late 2013, discrete graphics)) not fixed.

Indeed that was the first thing I checked. (rMBP 13" late 2013). There goes my not so mighty mouse.

The startup logon screen is now black.

just me or? :D

Nope... Anyone going from 10.10 back to Mavericks would experience the same thing, regardless of a clean install.. but it's less obvious. I'm on 10.9.5 after realizing 10.10 wasan't for me.... I did a clean install, and at power it its black, then then switches to grey.

Either way, i'm cool with it, I just had hoped Apple would have been smart enough to replace the boot loader too.

I have a clean install and guess what, others too. Thousands if not hundreds of thousand do. Many people don't speak english and don't report it here. Theres millions of other forums too.

Dont generalize if you can not prove what you are saying. This is my first mac, 4 replacements due to faulty hardware, loose screws, wrong repairs. and now these software issues.

Apple is not what I expected a premium product to be. and yes it is a fresh install. Seems like some Apple fan boys think just because they don't have, or don't want to see issues that there are issues.

Apple forums show more than 600k views. thats a lot, only speaking of the english user base regarding wifi issues.

Graphics Problems, a petition or more than 30k!!!

Windows seems so much snappier and smoother and has to deal with a lot more different kinds of hardware.

WHERE APPLES PROFIT GOING? Definitely not into bug fixing and development.

And the WORST part, Apple does not responde to any of these issues but tries to silently fix them.

TIME Machine did not work from the beginning of a fresh install of Yosemite!!!!! UI flaws everywhere! And I only turned on my new mac!

Angry much? Windows 10 looking alrite these days, you might want to give the preview a go. It has a starmenu again, multiple desktops and a UI that sucks a lot less. Evil Apple for not having a bug free OS, I mean everyone else is perfect in regards to software development.
Wait whats that, oh yeah my phone is ringing on my Mac, gtg :D

Bootable USB OS X 10.10.2

I don't know if anyone asked it yet (I've looked as much as I can through the whole thread) but I would like to know if it is possible yet to create a Bootable USB OS X 10.10.2.

I guess I would have to download it from the App Store and then use DiskMakerX to do it, right ?

The other thing that I am not sure is how to include the Time Machine Recovery to the Bootable USB. I had it on 10.9 but since 10.10 and 10.10.1 it is no longer available.

Thanks in advance for your help ! :)

On my late 2012 iMac under 10.10.1, Team Fortress 2 was unplayable. Lots of lag, slowdowns when moving around. 10.10.2 fixes this completely and performance is back where it was under Mavericks.

So there was definitely an Nvidia driver update. <3

u do know Widows 10 is only a technical preview....

Either way, should we all start running, screaming and shouting like a mad man?

You can , or u could use this : http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201372 Either way does the same job. DiskMakerX is just more automated.

Wifi still a problem, sorry to say.

Those that had issues with WiFi since the beginning with Yosemite:

Finally fixed? Yes or no. Also, what model do you have?

2012 MacBook Air. See my profile signature. If I click on my profile name in the top right of the menu bar, click Login Window..., close the screen, reopen the screen and log back in, wifi searches for a signal but can't/won't connect to my wifi network. I have to turn off wifi and turn it back on for it to connect.

For some reason it finds it after turning wifi off and then back on again.

Yeh... I did the same too on all my macs. You need to download the delta update instead. Checking the system requirements for the combo update stamps it stating 10.10 as the requirement, while the delta states 10.10.1 as its.

So weird. Combo has never had that req before in OS X history! ;)

I'll keep with Mavericks then and I'll check again when 10.10.3 comes out. Thank you and good night.

I haven't seen it in the MAS yet.

After performing an SMC and PRA/NVRAM reset things might be fixed, I am still investigating.

Two questions to tywebb13:

1. Is this the combo for the final version or for the beta version?
2. On what machines should the firmware updates be run?

I experience a similar issue when I am connected to Wireless-G but not -N.

Looks like I've just lost the ability to use my external display with this update.

Restoring a Time Machine backup that was made prior to the update doesn't help.
PRAM/SMC reset

nothing

Any word on dual screen issue fixes?

All my windows on the large 24" are shrunk down (in width to match a 19 inch in portrait) and moved to the lower left corner of the 24 screen (to align with the bottom of the 19 inch in portrait)

Most unproductive to have to resize and re-sort your windows several times a day.

still Can't Sync my Phone

Still can't sync my phone on any consistent basis. So frustrated with the iPhone 6 and iOS8. My iPad worked perfectly fine under iOS7 then all of a sudden it's constantly dropping network connections, none of my power cables seem to work on a consistent basis any longer and I can only get it to sync 1 out of 5 tries and it's the same with my iPhone 6.:confused:

will this fix the slow safari on nike? and also will it fix doing 13 out pages.

I agree. I'm still running 10.9.5 with great results, however I am tempted to make the switch. The wi-fi issues and a few others mentioned over the past couple of months have bothered me though.

Opinions?

The iPhone Plug-In of Bluetooth Death Bug seems to have been fixed.

I fixed my WIFI issues manually. Can't guarantee the standard installer has corrected this.

But if you have 2 displays, FORGET IT!
I have 2 1080p displays. Yosemite still cannot decipher which one to boot to.

WHY? Mavericks can!

EPIC FAILURE APPLE!

PS: To add insult to injury, it's SLOWWWWWWWWW to BOOOOOOOOT, yet still cannot figure out where to go afterwards! UGH! Probably more than 2X slower than Mavericks at least! And I'm on a Mac Pro!

Accessibility: boot loader, login UI (EfiLoginUI, FileVault 2, full disk encryption)

A question for any user of FileVault who has done both of the following:
  1. downloaded the new OS X Yosemite from the purchases page (not the updates page) of App Store
  2. used the new 'Install OS X Yosemite' to perform a full installation.
At the EfiLoginUI, which appears after the startup chime, do nothing. Simply wait for a minute or two.

Has Apple made all texts more legible?

I didn't report the problem before 10.10 was released, but I hope that – given all the other problems with lack of contrast (reduced accessibility) and so on – there'll be a fix to the boot loader.

Hint

If your copy of 'Install OS X Yosemite' is version 1.6.7 or less, it's outdated.

Weird! 42 GB of Space Missing and Not Syncing

Now my phone won't sync at all and I have 40 GB of space filled up with this mysterious "Other" category and I know it's not from Spotify because I removed it from my phone to see if it would clear it up and I can't even get it to sync. Have I said lately how much I really loathe Apple these days? If I didn't like Android so much and wasn't locked into this crappy iPhone 6 for a year, I'd be really tempted to switch. I wish I could downgrade everything back to last year's software. Everything Apple has done software wise recently has been garbage - Yosemite, iOS8, iMovie and don't get me started on iTunes 12.:mad::mad:

I STILL can't use my AppleTV anymore.

Ever since I downloaded Yosemite, I've been unable to watch anything from the web via my AppleTV. I don't know what the problem is, but this fix is not the fix.
