I wonder when they will open up the public beta for Yosemite. I would love to get my hands on it.

I would strongly suspect that the public beta won't be an all-new version but will rather be announced by e-mail a day or two after the developers get their hands on it. (For extra safety in catching critical bugs as well as spreading out server loads.)

So for all we know this could be the public beta, but we won't hear about it unit later this week.

I was hoping that it also darkened window chrome, not just menu bar and dock, but it's still a nice addition.

The incomplete dark mode featured dark window chrome, in the finder at least. Maybe Apple still needs to update their apps.

I want to do a fresh install so is there a link to developer preview 3? Or do I need to install preview 1 and then do a software update?

Thanks in advance, Scott

The Settings icon needs to be redesigned to make it consistent with other icons.

Dark mode! Although, it's not much different after all the modding of menubar app's I did. :p

New iCloud panel shows iCloud storage directly.

Wifi

Still not working well. Works for a bit, then drops, and tries reconnecting but fails. Stop/Start Wifi, stays on for a few then dies again.

Not impressed with any of the BETA's thus far...at least in regards to WiFI. Not sure what they're doing with it? Seems like an easy fix, yet they continue to have issues with each release, including 10.9.4.

Have had no issues with DP2 on my iMac.

However, on that machine I have a i7 processor and 64GB ram.

DP2 was giving me problems on my Retina Macbook Pro. Over the past few days, it kept crashing over and over again. High CPU and memory load.

So you can imagine how happy I was by DP3.

DP3 is more stable and has fixed the awful CPU and memory surges.

Plus...iMovie now works.

You have 64 gb of RAM in an iMac? What the hell do you need 64 gb of RAM for? lol

I've noticed my nMac Pro's WiFi has been steadily dropping transfer rates as development progresses. Running 10.9.4 beta on the same system is giving me speeds close to 1300Mbps, compared to 780Mbps now.

Noticed app preference's in "Dark" theme have deeper shadows and inlays, example attached is Calendar.

Messages show dark image holders if no pic is available, and a new preference setup menu (font slider, etc).

Memory was cheap...

...and trust me, I have a dozen applications that open on every boot. The memory level doesn't budge. It's really something to have all that extra memory at your disposal.

Oh gawd, the new dock icons look so ugly... I was OK with iOS7 icons, but desktop? Come on, it looks too flat for desktop!

Hey,

In finder can you now see your icloud photo library in icloud drive? Hope they don't mess that up and do it the same way as it is for pages etc.

Dark mode is interesting.. definitely feels tacky, a la Windows 95 to be honest.

It's a LOT better if I enable my 'translucent menubar' (which I had turned off). Unfortunately, I can't view any of my wifi hotspots when I'm in dark mode.. oh well. Back to regular..
