It looks like the menu bar and the dock only is affected at this point. I am fairly certain it's not done yet.

I'm not drunk yet (tho it is noon somewhere...) but I think there is some overlap on the menu bar and the frame of the apps

Has someone/can someone upload the new Quicktime icon? Any other new system icons as well?

Do 3rd-party apps that automatically updated window style in the previous betas (like Skype) use any dark mode elements?

If I wanted to do a clean install do I have to install DP1 then update or can I download a full version of the current release?

Can anyone confirm if the thunderbolt to Ethernet adaptor works in Yosemite?

I tried using a USB 2 to Ethernet and it doesn't even recognize it.

I feel like osx Yosemite is just not looking very nice right now, the icons and fonts are pretty damn ugly. I can understand ui choices but the skinning seems to be lacking.

It's the small things but that things have buttons like back and forth and home buttons in safari when they could do with sinking into the background like safari in ios, just outlines?

I don't want ios but it doesn't half look better and is much more consistent, mavericks is consistent though!

It's the circles the 3d slanted squares the odd settings shape and lighting compared to the rest it's just so damn ugly! Please sort it out apple please

Not sure if this been posted already but Final Cut Pro X, Motion, Compressor & iMovie now works in this beta

Anyone else suffering extreme disk access delays? I'm running a SanDisk SSD and it's really struggling. Any intense disk use and the CPU use goes through the roof. Was fine in DP2.

Too flat for desktop...what does that mean?

I'm assuming it means there is no depth to the icons and with the larger display of a desktop, icon clarity isn't as important as it is on smaller mobile screens.

Mavericks has a perspective shelf and the icons have bevels etc whereas Yosemite have removed all clutter from the icons and the dock shelf.

I'm personally undecided if I like the new basic flat look of the entire icon set but I do understand why Apple have done it after reading their updated UI design guidelines.

My issue was the ability to login to our secure intranet site. It kept asking for my credentials for each and every module that had to load. I went back to mavericks for the sole purpose. Otherwise it worked great for me.

FYI, Mavericks does this to me too occasionally. A close/re-open of Safari usually fixes it, on Mavs at least.
