OS X Yosemite brings a flatter, more modern look to OS X
Dark mode is interesting.. definitely feels tacky, a la Windows 95 to be honest.
It's a LOT better if I enable my 'translucent menubar' (which I had turned off). Unfortunately, I can't view any of my wifi hotspots when I'm in dark mode.. oh well. Back to regular..
I believe the article quoted the update incorrectly:
Both of my test systems state: OS X 10.10 (14A238x)
I wonder, what does a "more modern look" mean?
It's the opposite of a less modern look.
That's DP1. 2 developer builds ago.
When will the beta be available for those non devs who signed up?
That's DP1. 2 developer builds ago.
Wait. What do you mean with »switched back«? 10.10 is still beta and not for productive use. So complaining here about bugs is out of place.
Dont get me wrong, but saying »I just switched back to Mavericks« implies that you used a beta on your productive system.
I was hoping that it also darkened window chrome, not just menu bar and dock, but it's still a nice addition.
