There were bugs with betas/Developer Previews while Steve Jobs was alive, too..

This isn't a bug, it represents a conscious design choice by at least several people at Apple. Someone actually thought it was a good idea to make the highlighted text ironic.

Does this look normal? Some text is bold and some washed out.

I have also noticed that after installing DP7, system font seems very thin or you can say washed out? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Has cut/paste finally been added to the Finder?

That's a good theory but Apple pulled the same trick with iOS 7 (released on September 18, 2013) and OS X Mavericks (released on October 22, 2013). Apple disabled iCloud Keychain on iOS 7 until OS X Mavericks and iOS 7.0.3 were released a little more than a month later.

And considering how iCloud Photo Library app is still missing in action on Yosemite, just as iBooks was on Mavericks until late beta, I suspect there will be beta 8.

Yes, but this isn't just Keychain stuff, these are fundamentals and tentpole features for how the operating system works. I can't imagine them disabling iCloud Drive until October, but I'd prefer that to introducing a month of complete iCloud system incompatibility between iOS 8 and Mavericks.

In Dark Mode, the selected menu bar/action turns a white/gray instead of blue in the previous DPs.

EDIT: They added a Force Quit App option to the Apple menu as well. If in Safari, it becomes Force Quit Safari. In Finder, Force Quit Finder.

From the looks of that I hope the top and bottom padding has a transitional gradient so it looks polished, instead of like a cheap web menu that shows the added padding [not what you want to see].

The bold highlights available services on that specific application. Services go all the way back to NeXTSTEP.

3rd party apps extend services to system and allow other 3rd party apps to leverage them, without the need of each application running.

Anyone know if Trim Enabler works, still? Terrified to enable it after the update to DP7 since... well... it can break the OS.

Getting a lot of WiFi disconnects with DP7. Anyone else getting this?

Was getting a lot of disconnects in DP6 and PB2. Diagnosed the issue as related to WPA2 on my home router. I could be right next to the router, yet RSSI showed 0 dBm and no bars. Set my router to WEP and there have been no disconnects. Something's not right there, filed a bug report about it but have no idea if the system diagnostics they took would be able to diagnose that.

jealous!!

PS.....not sure if you have an iPhone running iOS beta on it.....if so, can you let me know if the handoff feature indeed does work with mail, safari, maps app?

I've got an iPhone 5 with iOS 8 beta 5 running and a 2014 MacBook Air running dp7 and handoff doesn't work still, it was the first thing I tried lol, hopefully they fix it soon :/ bummer

nda only applies to developers... many people have this without being a developer... and many devs are anon, so don't care.

man, i turned off translucency in accessibility.

So did I. If I wanted to see the contents behind my current windows I would... *GASP*...minimize/close the window!

Not sure if the pic will show in-line, but it shows that I have 370GB of audio files and 271GB of Photos, which are way off. I have maybe 500MB of audio files, and no photos on this partition. In fact, it shows my entire partition used when it is not.

I had the same issue with the last release. It says I have 25GB of pictures and I have no pictures on that partition.

Takes longer to power on

has anyone else noticed this yet ??

my 2014 macbook air takes a noticeable amount of time longer to power on than it did when i was running DP6, before the apple logo would come straight up within like 2 seconds after the sound but now with dp7 it takes like 8 or 10 seconds to even show the apple, it's just a black screen for what feels like ages lol

I fixed the problem - I think - by renewing the DHCP a few hours ago. Hasn't dropped since then.

Its looks as though Apple redesigned the "General" Icon in DP 7. I haven't seen it being used anywhere as Safari Preferences is still using the old icon but searching in the System > Library > Core Services > CoreTypes.bundle > Resources shows a new icon. I have attached an image of the new icon. For reference of the old icon look at the "General" tab in Safari Preferences.

You can do this with BetterTouchTool.

In "Finder", configure Trackpad Gesture for "Two Finger Swipe Left" and Assigned Action/Shortcut to "3F Swipe Left (Page Back)" and repeat the same for "Two Finger Swipe Right".

Make sure any 3F gestures in Trackpad System Preferences are disabled as it will interfere. I change them to 4 finger, which works perfectly.

I CANT FIND 3F SWIPE LEFT(PAGE BACK) under assigned action/shortcut ???? can you elaborate that please
