Does this look normal? Some text is bold and some washed out.

I have also noticed that after installing DP7, system font seems very thin or you can say washed out? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Indeed. Same issue on my 2009 MBP. Maybe it looks great on retina displays, but certainly not on mine.

Also Preview had issues opening password-protected PDF's and Finder shows files, folders and apps out of alphabetical order, X goes before I and Q before L. (sort by name selected of course).

Looking through some more system files I found more icons that appear to have been updated. There are probably a bunch more but here are the more noticeable of the few. Here is the new "Unsupported App" icon and "Eject" icon.

System Preferences> Accessibility> Increase Contrast

See how you like that. I have this on (and Transparency off) and it is a lot easier to see everything.

I am using retina display. I can honestly say that there is something wrong. The font of compress and burn is the actual size font from the previous betas, whereas the rest of the fonts are all washed out.

Has cut/paste finally been added to the Finder?

No, it is from xtrafinder :)

Its looks as though Apple redesigned the "General" Icon in DP 7. I haven't seen it being used anywhere as Safari Preferences is still using the old icon but searching in the System > Library > Core Services > CoreTypes.bundle > Resources shows a new icon. I have attached an image of the new icon. For reference of the old icon look at the "General" tab in Safari Preferences.

That icon is showing for me in Safari "General". I've noticed that for some reason some installs show new icons while some show older ones. I took screen shots from the CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources. Some of them are new, some old.

Also, I can't find location services. I recall they were present somewhere in System Preferences, but I've checked every one and nada.

Lastly, Handoff and Continuity has been working between my nMac Pro6,1 and iPhone 5S all on the latest beta's, now it's not and it's activated on all of them. Very odd. The last DP caused some serious issues with my WiFi and certain System Preferences, when I came back from a month overseas my Mac Pro was FUBAR'ed. Those are fixed but now other issues are present.

I CANT FIND 3F SWIPE LEFT(PAGE BACK) under assigned action/shortcut ???? can you elaborate that please

Odd, the last alpha build isn't showing that pre-definied gesture. I attached the saved presets, download them and add them into BTT, they'll still work.

Same issue on my mid-2012 MBP with AG display (see first pic below). I played around with the dark mode and accessibility settings and it looks like if you select *both* the 'dark mode for menu bar' and 'Increase contrast' it gives the blurry gray-to-black text in the dark spotlight pop-up ... Deselecting 'Increase contrast' under Accessibility gives a much better look, like the one in the second image.

Someone please confirm if they encounter the same bug. Thanks.

I've got an iPhone 5 with iOS 8 beta 5 running and a 2014 MacBook Air running dp7 and handoff doesn't work still, it was the first thing I tried lol, hopefully they fix it soon :/ bummer

Ditto. Still not working thought I'm positive hand off was working at some point. Some said it was on beta 5 and dp 5.

Umm. the ssh server and file sharing stopped working after I updated. Now has to roll back to DP6..

Not sure if the pic will show in-line, but it shows that I have 370GB of audio files and 271GB of Photos, which are way off. I have maybe 500MB of audio files, and no photos on this partition. In fact, it shows my entire partition used when it is not.

Mine is correct, but the About This Mac popup does not show "Memory" on my rMBP. My older 2010 MacBook does.

My gosh some of these new icons look so bad, they look to me like they come from some cheap stock site

I think there's a new icon for zip archives. Not sure if it's just this, mainly because everything else uses 'The Unarchiver' icons.

[EDIT] The built-in Archive Utility has a new icon, as well as all of its supported archives. Not going to post screenshots, but check it out.

No idea in which Yosemite release it was added but god know's how many years down the line they *finally* have added Cut to the Edit menu.

This will hugely speed up my file organisation!

----------

Anybody gotten iMovie to work?

Seems to be a lost cause for me. Worked fine in Mavericks ... nothing since Yosemite.

Right Click > Show Package Contents > MacOS > iMovie

That should launch it. I had the same issue in the early beta's however mine appears to have resolved itself and launches properly now.

Mine is correct, but the About This Mac popup does not show "Memory" on my rMBP. My older 2010 MacBook does.

I'm *guessing* thats because memory is not user-servicable on the rMBP, since its soldered to the logic board.
