Interestingly enough I got a bumper from China for $2 on Amazon and it is the exact same thing. $29 is a joke, I hate the accessory markup BS.
It is sad to see Apple pulled into the (RED) "Charity"
RED has raised millions of money to help Africa, but most of the money, over 90% goes to cover their overhead, marketing and advertising. Simply put next to nothing actually goes to help people in Africa. It is more of a PR and awareness campaign with very high costs.
So, buy it if you like the color and want to buy a bumper before the new phone comes out.

er, what? when does that EVER happen?

considering that the 3GS is still available from carriers id say there is absolutely no question that the 4-series will be around for some time.
Does look pretty cool.
WRONG!!! A quick google would save you from looking like a Knee-jerk Jerk... From wiki...It is sad to see Apple pulled into the (RED).. Sure, if you're into candy canes.
That looks really cool. I have a black version of that case, and it looks great on my black iPhone 4.

Yep, cases are not worth $30 unless they are carbon fiber or something. I got my case for free from Apple's free case program.
10% of millions is better than nothing No?
Its not as tho its either buy the case or donate directly. Its buy the blue bumper or buy the red bumper which a little bit goes to charity.
So whats ur point?
Selling special edition colored iPhones with partial proceeds going to a charity fund would've certainly been an option (red for AIDS, green for rain forest, yellow for cancer, etc.).
I would've bought a blue one, but I wouldn't know what charity it could support...
Didn't the U2 iPod also help (PRODUCT) RED?
My only problem with the bumper was that dust and grime would sneak into the edges and completely scratch the heck out of the metal rimming....
Twenty Nine bucks seems like a lot to pay.
If only I gave a crap about those less fortunate than me...
