- System audio that stops working when using HDMI or optical audio out

I'm still having this bug in Lion, so I hope that will be patched soon as well. It's getting really annoying having to reload a .kext file all the time.

Great news! Other bug this new update has resolve is the windows folder from parallels on the dock. With 10.6.8 it stop working. It wouldnt open. Now it works back!!

Two bugs resolved. Thanks Apple. Thanks.

Thanks to this update now everything works just like on 10.6.7 :D:D:D

Glad to have this bugs fixed, although it took 1 month for them to do so.

Welcome back Snow Leopard. You'll have to wait a little longer Lion...

Oh heavens!

"System audio that stops working when using HDMI or optical audio out "

THANK YOU!

I didn't know this was broken with the last update. I hook up my audio to my TV quite frequently and all of a sudden it stopped working. I tried different cables, different inputs, etc... and at the end of it assumed that I'd broken my 'audio in' on my television's dual HDMI and RW input.

*sigh of relief*

overall happy with lion but i have to say i have found another bug.

if I'm streaming something to my appleTV2, the display doesn't sleep even after resting the PRAM, SMC and rebooting.

I wonder if this is the same problem I've been having. I don't have Apple TV, but I do have 10.6.8 on a Mini. Whenever I try to run a live radio feed, my Apple display will not sleep! If I get out of the live radio feed, everything returns to normal.

I can't wait for a Lion update... I've had a few crashing issues lately.

I have held off on the temptation to upgrade to Lion on my iMac until the first Lion update comes out. However, I have to admit that what's helping me with my steely self control is my new 13" MBA, which is due to arrive this Thursday. That'll be my lab until the Lion update. :)

Can someone please explain more about the first bullet point? What about people who have already made the migration from SL to Lion? What exactly does this update do to migrations that wasn't being done before? We need more details please.

I don't know if this is the specific issue, but my first attempt to use Migration Assitant between a 2008 13" MB and a new MBA resulted in it getting all the way to the end of both wizards (with the number matching and all), and then the MB saying "the other machine stopped responding" and the MBA asking over and over which items I'd like to migrate.

Had to abort the whole thing and start over, then it went great.

Lion is pretty good but it does have issues.

baloney! For example?

1. For example TextEdit crashed on me once just checking out the menus. In other words I wasn't even editing anything.

2. There are significant issues with Quicktime and video play back.

3. Networking is flaky.

There are likely others that I simply glossed over. In any event I don't believe Lion is any where near as bad as some seem to think it is. Frankly considering all the improvements and upgrades it is probably the best Mac OS update in some time.

It isn't baloney but people don't need to make mountains out of mole hills. Lion is working really well for me right now.

BTW, combo updates are not just for people who have yet to update to the version. They'll install just fine on the version they're updating to as well. I've done that in the past to fix corruption issues.

This is why you never updated to brand new OS. That's why I'm waiting for 10.7.1 or .2 to updated. As far as the 10.6.8 updated, why didn't they just upgrade to 10.6.9 so that they stop confusing everybody?

Mail is a disappointment.

Pinch-to-zoom doesn't work at all in Mac Mail.
I'm not sure I'd call this a bug but it sure is a big disappointment.
Where it does "work", the page often moves off center requiring constant adjustment.
It isn't perfect that is for sure/
Also, zoom takes time to re-focus.
I think this is Apple begin fancy. That is the blurred text is done on purpose along with the extra fraction of a second it doesn't need to take.
None of these problems existed in SL.
Well if you see them as problem you are right. I think the refocus thing was done on purpose though.
I do like Lion, but it is somewhat buggy. :(

I wouldn't call any of your listed items bugs. However bugs are there too. On the other hand the bugs are few considering just how much has been refactored.

I'm downloading Lion now. I've applied all of the Snow Leopard updates though, I think it might be time to install it, a little wary.

Fix

iTunes does not start up all the time and accessible, even when it is a program that is a login item. I have to quit it and start the program all over again.

It also switches screens randomly. I'll be in iTunes and it switches to safari, or mail to safari, or vice versa.

Anyone else experience these issues (or bugs)?

Lion isn't as bad as some here make it sound

Well each individual has his own standards and issues, but I find Lion to be one of the best updates to come from Apple in some time. Given that there is no resin to hold off that I can see. The OS will never be complete and bug free, so waiting for that to happen is silly.

Don't believe me on the OS never begin bug free, just look at what is happening with the 10.6.8 update. Waiting for a special X.X.y revision to come is a loosing game. Dot "y" versions can screw things up just as well as a major revision.

Yes at least something similar.

Yep Ive had iTunes come to the front of the screen for no good reason. Very frustrating.
