There is no reason to make excuses for them. Apple is making a lot of mistakes, and their once-famous quality has taken a huge plunge. The culture in post-Jobs era has finally started to shift, and the result is, expectedly, bad

^^^ this

In other words, if you have already successfully installed the original Supplemental Update there is absolutely no need to install this one.
While I agree, it makes one wonder what was changed in '/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/OSInstaller.framework' that Apple felt was important enough to release a second update.

My guess would be due to these items in the release notes:

This update:
- Improves installation reliability of ‌‌macOS Catalina‌‌ on Macs with low disk space
- Fixes an issue that prevented Setup Assistant from completing during some installations

- Resolves an issue that prevents accepting iCloud Terms and Conditions when multiple ‌‌iCloud‌‌ accounts are logged in
- Improves the reliability of saving Game Center data when playing Apple Arcadegames offline

Based on a couple of reports I trust it turns out to be an updated security certificate. They used one about to expire on the previous version.

Is there a way to check if I have the first supplemental update or the new one?
Click apple Logo top right, About this Mac, System report, Software.
Look at system version if it is macOS 10.15 (19A603) its the vastest "second Supplemental release" if it is (19A602) then its the "First Supplemental Release"

The terminal script worked great
Thanks 😀

Apple cannot possibly test every conceivable conflict. So they release the "beta" versions to be tested. After all the bug reports are in, they hope they have caught all of them, then they release the update to the wider user population. Each one of us has different Macs, with different combination of settings and a vast variety of apps. More bug reports then flood in from the users, finally Apple develops the fixes and releases the incremental updates. There are so many variables at play that there is bound to be some hiccups. Usually, it is better to wait before installing an update, just to allow the first bugs to be worked out. Just sayin'...

I'm having some problems with my connection to the NAS ever since Catalina. Sometimes it just won't connect to it and it's impossible to access the files until i end the finder process. Not sure what that is about.

Catalina Island is beautiful but Apple's Catalina OS sucks bigtime. I'll NEVER upgrade to it until they bring back 32-bit support.

LOL, looks like you're going to be on Mojave for a long time. You're not alone though, I'm staying with Mojave too. Taking away 32 bit support has been a real killer for me.
