The new build might be to reject updates on MacBook Pro Retina Late 2013(?)

A few hours ago I deleted the Big Sur install-file that was downloaded, and redownloaded it once again. Just 15 mins ago I did check the build version in terminal, and it was Big Sur build 20B29. Then saw this post about 20B50 – and had to make a post about it.
After checking the build, I erased that Big Sur installer build 20B29-file. Just now, I can confirm my MacBook Pro Retina Late 2013 cannot find any available updates when looking for it – just the way I did a few hours ago when it did find it again.

My thinking is that they have excluded my model from updating to Bog Sur, at least temporary – and perhaps due to the bricking problem until solved.

Yes, that's at least one of the things that was changed here.

Little snitch working on this? Don’t really like that apple knows what app you are opening and there is a log somewhere of this. If you’re connected to the internet.

how can we get it if we already have Big Sur
Those who have already updated to macOS Big Sur will not see this update, but those who are coming from Catalina or an earlier version of macOS will get the new release. It's in the article.

sorry if i'm slow but I think i'm missing something. what's this for? Do i have to worry about it if i've already installed big sur?

So, with this update, is it safe to install Big Sur in MacBook Pro mid 2014?

Fortunately, prevented the computer from upgrading automatically.

Can you find the update in "program update" of not downloaded? And if so, Can you find it once again if you rename the Installer-file under "Programs"?

MacOS Big Sur upgrade showed in "Software update" until recently when I unchecked "download new updates when available". Thought about upgrading until got noticed about the bricking problem.

At this very moment, the upgrade notification disappeared. Using Catalina's last version (10.15.7)

Sounds exactly the same, but MBPR L13 instead, and on 10.15.7 too.

Actually 20B50 replaces 20B29 only for the public. Developers, Appleseed and public beta testers still have access to both builds. That's not necessarily a good thing because it will be unclear which one will download through the software update preference pane (probably will be 20B50, but not necessarily). So to be sure to get 20B50 you can use mds to restrict to public releases only and force it to download 20B50:

By the way this works in Big Sur too and you won't necessarily need an older system to download it.
