I just want to thank everyone for being the guinea pigs for every new version of macOS. I'll be there in a few point updates!
Haven't eitherI’m surprised I haven’t read a single report from an owner of a Fusion Drive Mac about how their upgrade went.
No, was looking to update my usb installer. Why is it unfortunate? Are you just looking to practice installing MacOS? There are no changes.
Probably wait until tomorrow. Just like they did with iOS today.how can we get it if we already have Big Sur
This version is blocked from installing on the 2013/2014 MBPs that were getting bricked. It won't even show in Software Update as a "featured" upgrade like it does on other Mac models. The only way to know is a response from some users with this issue on the bricking.
No. You have to go in too the mac App Store and re downloadCan I get the new update by going to "About my mac" and see the update..I did NOT update last week
I’m pretty sure you can just go to recovery mode and click on reinstall macOS.No. You have to go in too the mac App Store and re download
What macOS version did you upgrade from? What Mac do you have with Fusion Drive? What’s the capacity of the SSD in your Fusion Drive?I had no issue installing Big Sur 11.0.1 on my 2019 iMac 21.5" with Fusion Drive
This release is not for the M1 Macs. It clearly says so in the article.COOL. i still can’t reinstall macOS on M1, my device is still bricked
COOL. It doesn’t change the fact that my Mac is still useless nowThis release is not for the M1 Macs. It clearly says so in the article.
COOL. It also doesn’t change the fact that the space crew made it safely to the ISS the other day. Not that it has any relevance to that fact, either.COOL. It doesn’t change the fact that my Mac is still useless now
I can troubleshoot your issue for you if you're interested. I have extensive experience specifically with OpenVPN in multiple business settings. It has never been unreliable for me when set up properly, except in the case of a few Windows clients acting up, but those issues were unrelated to OpenVPN itself, and rather were Windows quirks.I’m hoping VPN is stable now.
I’ve been having intermittent OpenVPN connectivity issues where the connection sporadically drops, and it’s getting in the way of remotely backing up my family NAS - 6TB worth of data left.
Isn't it obvious? Because the previous version bricked devices and failed in the middle of updatesIt's not clear why Apple has released a new version of macOS Big Sur 11.0.1
No. You have to go in too the mac App Store and re download
Doubt you will see any difference, most likely this was to address issues for some users, later and current macs were ok but older models were having issues and this probably all this small change is.how can we get it if we already have Big Sur
