How stable is it? Would you put it on your Dailey driver?

Been running it as my main OS since the public beta became available. The only issues I've had is random reboots (but those are definitely few and far between) as well as I had to erase my Time Machine and start again because something about the beta messed it up (started to create infinite backups, erasing fixed this). Apart from that, it's more than stable to be your main OS.

Handoff is not working. SMS relay is, Phone calling is, back and forth, and hotspot seems to be working. IOS 8 on iPhone 5 and Yosemite PB2

About hotspot. Does your iPhone 5 show up under wifi area under personal hotspot? And does it also let you connect to it?

If you click on the wifi icon and wait a bit, it will show up. I haven't tried to actually connect, but it shows my phone, the LTE connection, and battery life. I should have actually tried to tether, but am at work.

Am I the only one who would really love to be able to swipe between today view and notification view in notification center? Like 3 finger swipe or 2 finger + option key since 2 finger already reserved to slide it in and out. It feels cumbersome to move the cursor to the buttons to switch view.

Odd, I signed up for the beta 1, installed but didn't get the last DP6 update, updated to DP6 and now I don't get this one either.

As explained by another poster, you've switched tracks. My question is - are you an officially registered developer? If not, how did you get DP6? Through an unofficial source? If you are an official developer, you never needed to sign up for the public beta.

I think (Pretty sure) that the reason is that those programs can safe directly to iCloud, from within the app.

Thank, I figured it out, by default it shares data from script editor and etc but you can change from prefs>iCloud>iCloud drive options. Unchecking apps to share removed their folders.

These days as an Apple user your eyesight better be top notch..

Yah, I really don't understand the direction that Apple is going with their UI design. There's a definite lack of borders. Combined with the translucency, the interface blends together too much into one big visual headache. I hope this gets refined a lot over the next few months, because as of today, even though Yosemite is "pretty", it's not an upgrade in terms of user experience.

Someone please tell if Handoff works in this beta

Only if you're using iOS 8.

I'm curious. If you're using iOS 8 beta then why are you installing the PBs? Surely as a developer you'll be better off using the DPs?

I haven't seen this update to the spotlight search mentioned. I like. :)

That was added in DP4 I think?

Oh my gosh, YES! I originally fell in love with Apple because of the cute details and the ease of use. The skuemorphic (spelling) design may have gone overboard, but at least it was easy to read.

The bold font with good contrast on the background and the legible drop down menus. *sigh* I never had an issue. I literally get a head ache after using Yosemite for a while. The white buttons on the light gray, almost white, background is hard. The "Increase Contrast" helps, but still. And the menu bar drop down menus are too translucent and hard to read. Safari bookmarks are a few pixels thick and too hard to read, especially when your webpage is shining through the toolbar. Ugh.

I presume the fact the volume keys don't make the pip sounds and the volume level blocks are now black is a glitch?

I thought Safari showed the entire URL as of DP4? Is PB2 using a older version of Safari 8?

Just installed this on my base spec Mac mini (newest one) and wifi works for about 5 mins and then won't work. It shows it's connected in the wifi settings but diagnostics can't fix the problem. Any ideas??

Had to restart the download and when I went to install, it said the install could not be verified. Starting again and it is 5.12 Gig.

Im with you on that. Its kinda pointless to have to swipe and then click.

I like that they defiantly dropped down the amount of translucency in the menu's. The dark theme really looks good now.
UI looks cleaner with it.

They don't seem to like the UK as I receive the same error

Not just the UK, have that problem here in the US. Got it to update on my PB 1 partition, but if I try to download the .app on Mavericks to make a USB installer, it gives that error. On the beta partition, it just spins and won't download again.

Yes it is.

As mentioned in 300 other places in this thread the volume feedback is now off by default and must be enabled in System Preferences.
