Why is there no "flux" feature in mac OS X? Should be simple enough to add. It feels like the different product categories just go at their own whim and pace. Features should roll out simultaneous across their lines.
Rootless can be disabled, the green button behavior can be changed with the Option key, cut/paste in finder is done with the Option key, you can tell Mail not to download attachments automatically, folders on top is inconsistent for keyboard navigation. As usual, Apple needs to do the following:
- Get rid of root as Apple's effectively given 3rd party developers the finger
- Put in the option to change the green button's behaviour (full screen on a large desktop screen is completely redundant)
- Add option in keyboard commands to have cmd+x and cmd+v act as cut/paste for MOVING files in the Finder
- Fix the way attachments are handled in Mail (christ, a 600 billion dollar company should get this right the first time)
- Add option of folders on top in the Finder
You don't have the intellectual wherewithal to simply skip/ignore things that don't interest you and are compelled to complain?Another day another 10 story's on Apples beta releases.

Don't mean to sound like a fanboy, but, your green button, cut/paste and folders on top complaints sound like someone who came straight from Windows and didn't bother learning the OS X shortcuts would complain about.
How about Apple mail. Is it gone from Crap to even more Crapy as usual on each new iteration of osx?
I miss the old one pre Yosemite, it was managable at least. The last 6 month i had only headaches solving mail problems, ended last week to ditch it to Airmail which is better in many ways but still not perfect.
Apple, please fix mail, how long time you need to do that?
Maybe I should put "Try the green dot + Option on Chrome before you talk about how the feature exists already" in my signature.
WD MyBookLive has not been happy since El Cap. WD My Cloud seems a bit happier, but not as reliable as before. You don't really read peoples' posts in their entirety, do you? Bladerunner just mentioned that the green button's behaviour has to be changed. And you come up with apple fanbois apologies.
The whole "keep my option button pressed for happy-endings to happen" debacle needs to ***** stop.

I do use a 3rd party real NAS and I don't see any major/minor bugs happening...
True, and I and many others like this consistent functionality. The green button’s behavior already contains that option and has since day one. It’s called the Option key. Hold it down while clicking the green button and you get the classic behavior.

If you don't mind me asking, what Mac do you have?Good news is that this seems to be the fastest/snappiest El Capitan yet.
Bad news is no fix still for the USB Audio Device / USB over Thunderbolt issues.
Well why don'T you jus disable wi-fi while using the ethernet adapter? I know it's not ideal an apple defenetly shold fix the issue but until the do at least you wont have to reboot thar oftenI've had quite a few but my usage is probably unusual. I'm using an Ethernet adapter with a switch and El Capitan constantly switches me back to Wi-Fi. Only a restart fixes it. Safari also screws up occasionally when you have multiple tabs/windows open.
[doublepost=1455128333][/doublepost]"an import function for importing Evernote notes into the Notes app,"
Lol, pretty aggressive. Has anyone actually switched to the Notes app from Evernote?
The fix for finder mho is: drop the hole app and replace it wit something like windows explorer (from windows xp) that was one of the things ms did right (directory/folder) tree on the left and diectory contents on the right, easy to navigate an cluter freeAs usual, Apple needs to do the following:

Updated my Macbook Air. For some reason the update is not shown in the App Store Updates section 'Updates installed in the last 30 days'. Bit strange but not a big deal. Next beta update will arrive in 2 weeks![]()
