Well, I guess before I bail on the beta I'll give this update a shot. Beta 2 was a disaster on my system.

Can anyone confirm if the "external audio interface goes all glitchy" error has been fixed? It's easy to repair, disconnect and reconnect, but it's damn irritating.

@Sandstorm I definitely do not recommend installing a beta as your main system. I've got it on an external drive. Testing is fun but it's not exactly stable, and some of the software I use (in particular Reason) simply doesn't work.

Right off the bat I am noticing a few things fixed that have bothered me with the last release. The first one was PDF's not opening in Preview. When opening Preview everything was greyed out and it wouldn't open even if forced. Safari worked but defeats the purpose of Preview if its not the default. The second thing I see is the calculator has returned to the notification center. I use this frequently since its easy to access and missed it quite a bit. Sure its in Launchpad but was extra clicks to get there. I had an issue with .mp4 files similar to pdf where it would not open in quicktime. I haven't confirmed if that is fixed yet. I also need to confirm printer/scanner issues I was having tonight.

Had this problem in PB2 for a while. What ended up working for me was doing a PRAM reset. Idk why that would have worked, but it did.

Another thing I noticed was the sidebar in the Finder is FINALLY fixed in this beta. It broke in DP3/PB1. Ironically enough, my whole system just froze while typing this post under PB3. Luckily the new form software saves drafts!

I'd like to see ALL future OS X and iOS releases be like El Cap and iOS 9 where we see just a sprinkling of new features but with performance and efficiency improvements being goal number 1. To be clear: here's to every future major Apple OS release focus on performance as the number 1 goal.

My App Store is totally corrupted :(
Quit Mac App Store app (cmd+Q)

In Activity Monitor force quit quit all processes: storeassetd, storeaccountd, storelegacy, storedownloadd.

In terminal copy paste all these:

rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
rm ~/Library/Cookies/com.apple.appstore.plist
rm -r ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
rm -r ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.storeagent

Start the Mac App Store app again, it should be fixed.

But I like new features :(. I got a little bored this year and I didn't have any problems with Yosemite. :p

Can't seem to add events from mail to my calendar. Anyone having this problem? Worked on previous public beta version and also works on iOS 9 PB.

Mail.app Exchange problem still persist. Seems there is a problem for Mail.app to locally manage the Exchange account in its database. I'll remove the account and add it again to see if the Exchange mails becomes visible.

Are you implying Win10 isn't buggy? Keep dreaming.

I'm implying the word beta means not done, hence bugs. Dream on if you think beta means done ;)

Just by reading the comments on this thread should give you an indicator.....

Anyone else have a graphics glitch with Thunderbolt display - monitor keeps blacking out. Cursor visible, sometimes have to gesture to switch desktop to get anything else to display?

I want to try it out but i'm terrified after my last install of the original beta. It made OS X see my SSD partitions as two separate SSDs <_<

It's an iCloud account though. Idk, didn't have this problem last beta.

Removed and added the Exchange account and now it works as expected. That is a positive improvement :)
