Apple Releases Third OS X Yosemite Public Beta, Developer Preview 8

Am i the only person with a completely unusable Mail app in PB3??? Can't reply, can't close windows, can't attach. It's completely unusable unless just checking emails.

That stinks. Mine seems to be working well so far. Have you tried a restart?
 
I use Mail a lot for work (yes, I know; "don't install on a production computer", but not here to hear that speech) and I noticed that my signatures are all blank. Opening the preferences window to view them results in it freezing.

Anyone else having this issue?

Just checked mine and the signature I use is working and so is the Preference pane.
 
Still square indicators for me with "Accessibility > Increase contrast" enabled.

Large Font Rendering?

I looked in the settings and can find no such option...other than large fonts for the side bar...which has been in earlier versions. Any instructions here?
 
All fine with the volume HUD here...

P8 has fixed my Outlook problem. I'm running Office for Mac 2011 14.4.4. Previously I could open Outlook, but it would just stay in the Doc, you could never pull up and view emails, calendar, etc. I don't use it that much as it is only for my work emails, but at least now I can pull Exchange out of Mail app.

I have one of those when dark mode is enabled. It is my cloud icon for my OneDrive account. It just disappears when dark mode is on.
 
GM must be getting close....

Developer Preview 8 looks close to being the finished product.

Complaints aside from its appearance from some established Mac users I do believe OS X Yosemite is likely to attract a considerable amount of new interest.

Not only is OS X excellent to work with as it has always been. OS X now looks cool and will appeal to the younger generation which is the reason why I believe Apple have given OS X such a dramatic makeover.

One thing of note though is the Dock looks much like the one on OS X Tiger. I cannot help wondering if this was by design.

Much OS X goodness is happening with Yosemite. AWESOME :D:cool::D
 
I find PB3 to be very stable. All the bugs i reported so far seems to have been fixed in this release except issues with Mail client. I have deleted all accounts and from internet accounts and readded them. This seems to have fixed some issues, however it still slow in bringing new mail.

I hope it get fixed soon. Other than that i am very happy with PB3. Cheers!
