My mail app is working fine; an issue in PB2 where deleted/moved mails hung around until you clicked on another folder and back again has been fixed.

I assume it's a Microsoft issue, but Lync still doesn't work unless your primary language is set to "English".

Still no custom ringtones in contacts (so doesn't sync properly with those used on iOS8 devices).

Keyboard shortcuts still not syncing reliably (between Macbook and iOS8 devices).

Prefer this over Mavericks; seems faster, looks cleaner, more features. I even like the new-look notification bar, but that did take a while to grow on me.

Anyone else lost the black boot screen?

I have lost it as well. Back to the white boot screen on DP8.

Did not have it until DP4 (I think, but definitely not in the first few), got it for several DPs and now gone again. Shame - I preferred the black boot screen.

Late 2011 MBP 15" (non retina).

That stinks. Mine seems to be working well so far. Have you tried a restart?

Tried restarting...I had zero issues in PB2, but now PB3 has rendered it useless. I've noticed it's also not storing signatures or displaying them.

I've tried to completely reinstall PB3 over the current PB3....still no fix.

What does this mean? Is there a setting somewhere?

Thanks.

Nope. I believe it was disabled it DP7 and thats why text looked dull. But it is enabled in PB3 and everything seems fine. See in the attached screenshot.

Mail Viewing Pane Not Responsive?

Just got PB3 installed on my early 2011 MBP for the first time this afternoon. Wow, they weren't kidding with the flat design! I'm digging it thus far.

One issue noticed right away, in Mail, any message that contains imagery is often times way over to the right of the window. I'm not seeing it centered up relative to the app's window boundaries. In Mavericks, I can resize the app window and whatever imagery appears in that viewer section is "responsive" and will remained centered as the size of the window is adjusted. I've been looking around for any options to toggle but am unable to locate any. Is this a new feature, or, something currently being worked on?

Thx,

-Steve

So far PB3 is buggier than PB2....i had no problems in PB2....now I can't use mail.

For me, this is pretty good so far. PB 1 was quite rough and PB 2 was a lot better.

Thanks, guys. I'll wait and see if a DP is pushed out soon that fixes the mail problems many people seem to be having. Once that's out, I'll probably give it a whirl. I haven't been this excited about an OS X release since Snow Leopard!

Mail

Would suggest that if you are using Mac mail that you hold off on installing either the PB3 or DP8 as a lot of problems are being reported with mail.

The Mac developer forums are filling up quickly with people having issues with Mail, seems to be a widespread issue.

you’re right: nothing is customizable. I haven’t Yosemite in action yet, but if it’s as ugly as iOS 7, I will not be happy.

Just yesterday I was looking at iOS Notification Center and thinking it was the ugliest thing ever. White spaces, horizontal lines, lack of icons or weather or traffic, no indentation, ...

I'm glad I like the way the design has gone. Personally Mavericks and iOS 6 especially just look awful to me now. When I see the old linen I want to vomit.

Most important question (to me anyways), did they fix Safari as far as deleting the history goes? A couple DPs back, they merged everything together and when you delete the history it also reset the cache/deleted all cookies/etc. So every time you deleted the history, you would have to turn around and sign back in to all your forums, authenticate computers for bank sites, etc. EXTREMELY annoying.

my thoughts on SMS Relay being officially disabled:

dammmmmit! i disagree that it has a lot of work left on it like others are saying; **** was working perfectly for me. Perfectly. Lol; i know that doesn't mean **** but i think it has more to do with they want that released with Yosemite, period---they want the user to know this is for OS X to iOS as much as its for receiving SMS on your other noniphone iOS devices. What easier way to show, those who really are basically apple illiterate, that these work together than releasing them together and calling it "SMS Continuity" We got to use it for what a month and a half? Consider us spoiled! haha and i can't wait for it to be back. :apple:

SOLVED:

1. Open terminal and paste:

mdutil -s /

sudo mdutil -E /

3. Give some time for spotlight to index your files...

Not having any issues in that regard, just replied to an email and it sent with no issues.

Noticed a few things though on my 15" 2012 Retina MBP.

Opened Photoshop CC2014 and the system locked up, could move the mouse cursor but that was it. Forced a shutdown and when it restarted had a message that the graphics adapter had encountered a problem. Used gfxCardStatus to switch it to discrete only and that seemed to clear it up so think it was a problem with the Intel HD4000.

Boot screen is back to grey and no longer black with a white Apple, it is a shame as I prefer the black boot loader.

About this Mac - Storage is completely messed up, I don't even keep my photos on my SSD as I have a Transcend JetDrive Lite 350.
