My eyes could be fooling me but the notification dock icon seem to be brighter red like on iOS. In previous DP's it has had a dull/faded red.

Could someone with a Mac without Retina check if they finally fixed ragged corners of the dock context menu (simply compare if they look same as ones from Finder for example)?

Planning to stay on Mavericks for a long time even when Yosemite is released.
I don't like the 2D dock on Yosemite or the other UI changes (which you can't change AFAIK).

Yah, I'm struggling to appreciate Yosemite's design, as well. It's lost the "Mac feel" that all previous OS X versions had. But I will adapt, unfortunately.

New "Help" Drop down menu from the menubar with a nice darker translucency. Really like it. It goes across dark mode and light mode.

The new interface actually is a huge relief to me, but not for the reason people might guess: it harkens back to Mac OS x 10.2 Jaguar. I thought that was the best interface Mac OS X ever wore (given the time in which it was the current OS) and it just felt like we were slipping and sliding further and further down the wrong path.

Mac OS X Yosemite returns the window translucency and the 2D dock I've missed, but it translates those features in a more sophisticated, more modern style, and subtracts the glare.

Welcome back, Jaguar UI... I've missed you a lot!
Dan

Thank you for pointing that out! I googled Jaguar and it hit me 'that's why Yosemite looks so familiar!' It didn't remind me of iOS7, it reminded me of Jaguar :)

Unfortunatly I have no PB3 update available, but I guess it's been pulled. Well it gives me time to make a backup of my Yosemite partition, I can't wait to see how PB3 will work :) I've had zero issues in PB2, only Chrome was having some trouble but it did that on Mavericks too. Hopefully the plugin I need for Safari will be fixed soon, :D

Same here. Not showing up, but maybe they are just distributing to different regions at different times to keep the load balanced.

More than likely. Just because you don't see it =/= pulled. Screenshot to show downloading and the time.

Nope, I'm still downloading PB.

I'd beware of installing an update that they've clearly pulled for some reason. Why not wait until they re-issue a PB update that they are comfortable with? It seems obvious that there was a mixup in what versions they made available.

I'm willing to be patient and see what they come up with most likely within a few hours.

I'm assuming they merged the public beta and developer preview into one final build. This looks like it's going to be the last release we're gonna get till GM.

Or it could simply mean they've decided that Yosemite is stable enough at this particular point in time that they felt comfortable to release the public beta and developer preview at once. I think last time, the PB and DP only differed by 1 digit according to their build string, so this isn't even all that surprising.

It doesn't mean we won't continue to see DPs in the future. I expect we'll get a few more.

They keep changing the battery charging indicator. I think it was perfect in the last release, the new one looks busy and heavy, unnecessarily so. I'll get used to it.
